Now that the Lakers lost, now they know that they've got to work harder for it. 3-1 is more likely heading back to LA.

Sukad pag game 1 pa intawn na naningkamot ang Jazz. . Lig-on lang gyud ang Lakers. Pero di gyud angayan kompyansahan ug i-underestimate ang Jazz kay 37-4 pud na sila sa ilang korte.

Suns na si makoy or should I say a Steve Nash supporter like me...

Yeah we have teams that we feverishly root ( Me, Hornets, Tackie-Spurs, nab_buang-Cavs, Archer-Nuggets, Lunateec-Hawks, Yokam-Suns) for but we also admire OTHER players for their talent or other teams because we find their play entertaining and exhilirating, and that my friend is not what you call "balimbing" or NBA "whores?"...

Me, I also have a soft spot for underdogs and great players who have not won a title yet and is aging already like KG, Ray Allen, Grant Hill, JKidd, Nash, Dirk, A.I...

Look bai, we know you Lakers fans love Kobe and the Lakers to death, I admire Pau btw, but you cannot expect to tell everyone not to appreciate others teams and to pick another team to root for if his got eliminated bcoz what would now give us reason to watch the playoffs now that our team has lost... If the Lakers lost, would you stop staying updated and watching the playoffs? That is what loving basketball means, when you see how a great a player plays or how exciting a team executes theirs, you cannot help but appreciate them also right?

look, let's respect each other and be open-minded okay... We don't have to be violent or vulgar or insulting each other like uneducated individuals...

Low blows are degrading a player, degrading a team or insulting a forumer and his opinions... We could all avoid that right?

I don't like Kobe for my own reasons but have you ever read a post from me saying bad things about the guy? No. Because I do not deny the fact the he is the best player in the NBA right now and with talent like that (Man, is he ever talented), any mockery to him would be childish and immature... In fact, I have admitted it many times taht without a doubt, he deserves the MVP and has the right to be named the best basketball player in the world today right?


Now we are all friends here, let's not get at each others throats shall we? ^^

i don't love kobe the same as i love the lakers... i like kobe, because he can make things done for the lakers... but diha ra na taman... nothing more... i've been rooting for the lakers since i was still a child... during the magic johnson era... that was when kobe was still learning to play basketball.

It's all good. If these people just witnessed how ecstatic I am in this forum when the Knicks acquired Zach Randolph and how I cheer the Dallas Mavericks when Steve Nash was still with them for sure they'd call me worse than an NBA whore.

I ADORE Magic Johnson the greatest PG of all time for me... Well I wasn't born til' the late 80's but sure as hell, I have seen his games on BTV not to mention my brothers and uncles idolizing him even more than MJ and by buying his old Converse kicks...^^

I seem to admire players who are triple-double threats for the reason that they do everything to help their team win and give them the notion of being a complete player by doing it all on the floor...

Well, I can comment about Magic right? I mean he is a Laker great and this is the Lakers thread...^^


I was a Laker supporter when the team from tinsel town was Diesel powered... The most dominating (and I mean dominating!) player in NBA history at his prime and watching him put that smug look on Sheed and that pansy whiner face on C-Webb away gave me great amusement...^^


Kobe is Kobe, like him or hate him, he "is" the man in the NBA right now... If the Lakers wins it all, I would be happy for Pau and Lamar, that's all...

Utah found a way on how to stop the Lakers. It's not Kobe, it's Pau. The Jazz continuedly swarmed Gasol every time he puts his hands on the ball and resulted to 5 turnovers and numerous glances at the referees.

"This is a game in which Pau was looking at the referees every time he got stripped there in the first half," said Phil Jackson. "They were just attacking him every time he put the ball on the floor. Those turnovers changed the course of the game."

Utah's big men collaborated for 49 big points while Gasol finished with 12. The Lakers had 37 free throw attempts, Gasol had none. In playing for about 40 minutes, he finished with only 1 assist from many touches.

The same Utah intensity, especially from big men Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur inside, is expected at Game 4. I wonder what's Phil Jackson's adjustment.

Pau Gasol on his complaints to the refs: "I shouldn't have done that. I have to learn to play through certain things, whether I agree with them or not, I have to play through it."

This could still be a part of Gasol's learning process. It's his first time in the second round.
