spanglish (this is a surprisingly good movie)... one movie where adam sandler is not irritating, although the role would've been better played by john cusack. paz vega and her daughter (aside from being hot/pretty) acted their part really well. tea leoni (ex-mrs. david duchovny) nailed the role with class. the script was well-written and full of memorable and meaningful lines (that doesn't border on corny). a funny movie with heart and class. 9/10 - watch it.

hide and seek. the actors (robert dinero and dakota fanning with elizabeth shue and famke janssen) were great. the script was good but the direction wasn't that good. first half of the movie was dragging but the story picks up pace after that. the twist is unusual. the employment of a large house in the woods with only 2 people living in it didn't reall work too well for the story. 6.5/10 - a good enough film.

bought the original vcd coz of the hype.

big mistake.

this is a poor version of william shakespear's romeo and juliet.

two rival gangs in one community. just like romeo and juliet but instead of killing each other - they break out into songs and dance retropop.

the leading man has a good voice but isn't convincing enough (as a man... when he sang "maria, maria" while walking made him appear as a guy looking for "mario, mario"...

just buy the soundtrack if you want good music (coz this definitely isn't a good film).
