don't be surprised if mods are uptight. they really don't have a business of pleasuring someone and heeding to member's needs. they don't get paid at what they do, so they can have every right to not reply if they didn't want to. bisan siguro ako, if i'm not paid and i'm doing this job in my leisure time, heck, if you have a problem i could really care less.

im starting to feel the uptightness of some of the moderators. i made a thread earlier about getting promoted from a being a junior to a senior member, asking how long it took people to become a senior member. then poof, it was gone. i message the staff who i thought did something about the thread. he told me it was moved to staff folder etc. and he suggested i put those kind of threads in the humor section. for real? some people here are just plain a$%holes. and yeah, its potterboy. kiat lang ka

you made a thread coz you've just become a senior member. either the replies will just be "congrats RonIvs" forever or everything will be offtopic. If someone will make a thread coz they've become or reached a level, I really doubt if it would interest anyone other than yourself. What good can we get with that thread?
Istoryans should realize that if it's not really worth it, just don't start it.

i get the point that mods are just humans as well and there's an X factor why he's been chosen to be a mod.(i just read parts of "how to become a mod" thing hehe) There are just a couple of them that I think has "x factor" but lack the ideal "moderator skills". This unofficial evaluation is somewhat helpful to make mods better in doing their stuff etc..

If that is your outlook , then a FORUM is non existent because it has to have a PERECT THREAD . That will never happen at all because it would be subjective and most of all , it depends on who patronizes it nor subscribes to it . I havent seen the thread that was moved but then who are you to say that its NONSENSE unless a MOD like me agrees with you which by the way justified the deletion of the thread that you suggested . But then what if its not NONSENSE to me but its trash to you ? You cant just asked MODS to transfer it , lock it or delete it because you think its NONSENSE ... what you can do is STAY AWAY from that thread and hang out in the CHATBOX .

The point of an evaluation is not about feelings. It's about an objective assessment of how one performed a job, which can be a basis for improvement.

Personally, I think what Springfield is trying to achieve in this thread is to let all those people na nakalalis niya in the other threads come out and say something constructive. Meaning, to criticize his moderating style -- pero in a constructive manner.

This guy's post pretty much sums up the POINT of the whole thread. What I don't get is why some people refuse to understand the point of this.

we may differ in opinions and manner of expressing it--modes enforcing forum rules leading to slapping infractions or banning. users get off hand and continue to clash one another even with the mods....

but at the end of the day I still feel most if not all of you people here (esp mods) are the kind I wanna hang out and get drunk with bcoz we all have in common---hilig tah ug istorya and it's more than just talk!
