    have your forgotten your history?
    1. Japan!!
    2. Korea!!!
    3. Now, Malaysia (they have started using Pinays as maids!!)

    4. Hong Kong (was very poor! but they raised their labor wages over the decades to world level)

    And of course:

All first world countries are rich because of
    1. Hyperwage?
    2. Natural resources?
    3. what what?

cant you see? cause and effect. HKG and Singa have NO natural resources. Japan imports oil and many minerals.

What evidence do you want? It;s high time you use your logic.

Did low wages make us rich?
Did low wages make our prices low? compare how many minutes you have to work for gasoline, elect. coke, etc..

If not, then it is high wages that will make us rich.

    Kapoy ninyo uy.
    - You dont read the subject being debated
    - You merely parrot "words' from other old school politicians and economists
    - you dont use common sense and logic

    Mr Unsay Nglan

do you know the word SATIRE? No wonder Chip Tsao and Alec baldwin are hated.. bec pinoys pretend to know english but too ignorant recognize satire!

the authors says he is the either world's brigthest or the world's foolest (in each chapter beginning)

you look at the wrapper not the idea?

what kind of a reader are you? You see the form not the content?

Maybe the book was not written for your level. Read the Samuelson economics na lang and continue to work as a manager for P25T (at least same salary as maid in HKG or Singpaore)

dont waste your time on Hyperwage bec it is an idea too simple only a genius can understand it. (the author wrote that too,)

Lets say you are busy and you can read only one chapter in two days.

for 33 chapters, that 66 days.

Come back to this debate in two months time ha...

If you come back before that, then you have not read the entire book

It took me 4 months to read it (and balik balik pa, to find out any loophole in the arguments)

so far using my own sense of logic and common sense, Hyperwage theory makes more sense and offering our cheap labor as our competitive advantage.. what the hell is that logic? Hire me Im the cheapest engr in Cebu?

Suggestion: read the How to Analyze advice...

bec if you come to the book bringing with you the old concept that raising salary will bring unending inflation, then you theres nothing in Hyperwage for you to read... bec automatically Hyperwage is wrong acdg to your mindset.

So whats the use of reading it?

Just stick to your own brand of economics, di ba?

Low wages, high prices, high inflation, high unemployment until 2010, 2015, 2020 etc.. we will be the same every 5 years for next 50 years.. a little bit improved and comparable to VIETNAM!! Ye hey!@!! vietman!!

There will always be poverty. Even rich countries have poverty level because we cannot eradicate it with certainty. Poverty is a relative thing, for me. The government can design the best programs and policies for poverty alleviation, but if the people are lazy enough not to follow the plans of the government, they will still be poor.

Blaming the government just because there are poor people is just one side of the coin. The efforts of the government are manifested. Maybe we should ask what we are doing to help ourselves out of poverty.

No need to present this to econ journals.

    He will be called crazy!

(read that chapter in Hyperwage book about UP economists who called him crazy!!)

So was Einstein, so was Keynes, so was columbus falling off the edge of the world.

First your idea will be called crazy
next it will be called acceptable
next it will be called self-evident

Hyperwage will not eradicate poverty, Every where in the world there are more people poor than rich.

BUt at least the lowest worker in Hong Kong (the maids) can send their kids to college in Cebu, and can own mobiles and can buy laptops

(note: mobile and laptops are slightly cheaper in US and HKG than in Phils.. Why?)

read the book for the explanation..

Hyperwage will create more middle class, more entreprenuers, etc etc..

Hyperwage is not here to solve poverty. Hyperwage is here to give you - a fresh graduate - a salary of P50T per month.

Are you going to refuse that because you feel you want to defend your economy from collapsing?

Then, why not return the extra pay you get on top of the min. wage, to your company? So the economy will be stronger. If you are getting P20T return the P12T and keep only the P8t min. wage.

The hypocrisy of those against Hyperwage theory! They even backstab their colleagsue to earn that salary increase, and now that somebody is fighting to give you P50T and you attack the author?

What do you want? a low salary or high salary!

    Sipsip kayo lahat.
