Yes, this is a free board that is why we are exchanging our opinions on the matter. aren't we?!
this book may be gender driven, it all depends on either you look and interpret it either on a subjective way or on an objective way.

There we go again with the NOT a GUY thing. What is this thing with "NOT A GUY". why? are women lesser creatures than men?! that whenever we don't feel like it or we voice out our opinion towards things, YOU GUYS immediately say "YOU don't get it or don't understand it because YOU ARE NOT A GUY" What is the difference when a man says the same thing as a woman does. Do you immediately label him a wussy or a sissy? because his opinion is like that of a woman or you just let his comment pass and accept it as it is because he is a man. Why can't you just acknowledge the comment without any side comments that sound anti-feminist. why can't you GUYS just accept the fact that Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars thus saving you the trip of trying to bridge the planets and labeling ideas as women and men.

YES! your comments are like... a sado-masochist pig who is insensitive, assuming and has that men are superior than women attitude.
Among the people who actually think that men are "superior" than women, in these boards, I would be the last person to do so. I have read Sophie's World, and I even named my daughter Sophia because I actually think God is a woman My late mother (bless her soul) was a feminine rights activist and have actually brought me up with the notion of equality between men and women. Furthermore my Grandmother on my father's side, who was a Herrera, opted to USE HER surname, being a second (or maybe a third) wife of my grandfather because she felt it was her right to do so (and my grandpa couldn't do anything about it hihihi), which is why I'm basically using my GRANDMOTHER's surname rather than my grandfather's and I'm proud of it too Even my personal hero, from classical antiquity, is a woman...she's named Hypatia, who guarded the knowledge stored in the Great Library of Alexandria to her death.

When my ex-wife wanted to leave our marriage, to work in the UK as a caregiver, I didn't go berzerk and broke the dishes in the kitchen or punched and yelled at her because it was the "macho" thing to do--I let her go, because I felt she had the reasons to go and she had every right to pursue a life which she felt she wanted to pursue to become a "complete woman", because I respected her not only as a free woman, but as a person.

...But then again, I do feel that words coming out of my mouth at the moment are futile and empty, ergo, whatever I say now, you already have this preconceived notion of me simply because of one rather nonchalant statement I made--I believe one should experience a person for a longer duration of time before making sweeping generalizations. But again, in the spirit and nature of a free board such as iStorya, you are indeed entitled to your opinion of me. Thanks for judging me before actually having met me yet. Oh wait, we have actually met last Sunday LOL. Sorry I forgot. Pero gamay lang ang time and opportunity for a more thorough getting to know each other.

P.s. I actually look more like a goat than a pig because a) I'm only 94 pounds, and b) I sport a (fittingly enough) goatee hihihihi

we did indeed meet. but i am not basing my posts in this thread on how fleetingly we have met or what my impressions are of you as a person. my posts here are just in response to your posts. as what newton's law of motion says "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

i did not ask for a detailed family history. thanks for the background info anyway. we now know more about your family lineage.

Yes hehe, always useful if one thinks any day now, one might die...at least people knew about you, one way or the other, which is the whole point of writing and literature if you ask me...oh what does one want to leave in this wretched existence, but the musings of a mind tormented by the fact that all things and indeed happenstance and somewhat fleeting... hihi.

I was just merely agreeing with the statement that you have made about your comments being assuming and insensitive. why is there something wrong that?

No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I was merely commenting on the rather "knee-jerk" reaction you gave regarding the personal opinions I presented (to which I erringly opted to react to in a similar knee-jerk fashion as well, unfortunately, and if I ever did make one grave mistake or regret about the matter, this is it lol). Like you said, third law.
