wala may absolute morality... not even in religion if you study history.

Morality is largely shaped by society.

religion WANTS to convince people that its teachings possess Absolute Morality... but they have not been consistent over time.

Is killing people in the name of your God good or bad? The answer depends on which era you were born in, what society dictates etc.

I know the Catholic Church has since then apologized for its mistakes.... but how are we to be sure that it will not again apologize for its mistake hundreds of years from now on issues like its view on homosexuality or ordination of women as priests etc.

I hope we can get off the addiction... we need rehab.

Nya mu mention nga nag base SILA sa ilang morality sa Law sa Govt or State which is by definition a type of an absolute Guideline na ginasunod sa Grupo sa mga tawo, nya most of the laws on every state in this world is based on the concept that there is a God.

In Philippine Constitution preamble alone, the first Line mentioned about God.

The idea of Atheist is that one person stand alone and have his own sets of moral Guidelines, it translate to freedom what to do without being guided by any Universal absolute Law. If you base the morality of Atheists on govt Laws, its the same as having a universal/absolute Guidelines which defeat the meaning of Atheism.

"When it comes to bullshit, big-time, major league bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. No contest. Religion. Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit!"

Actually, kung mag hisgot ug MORALITY---lupigan pa gani ang mga theists. At least ang mga atheists, wala sila'y "guide" like the Bible to teach them how to be good. Ang motivation for the atheists to do good are innate (not out of fear for punishment), while ang mga theists ma motivate lang sila to do good because if they don't, they might be PUNISHED by God for being immoral.

Naay CONDITION ilang pagka moral beings.

Atheism is Declining all over the world!

    2 reasons posited for this...

    1. atheism is losing its scientific underpinnings

    2. like religion, atheism has produced its own share of lunatics, frauds, and psychopaths (Siemon-Netto, 2005)

Siemon-Netto, Uwe (2005), “Science, ‘Frauds’ Trigger a Decline in Atheism,” Washington Times, March 4, [On-line], URL: Science, 'frauds' trigger a decline in atheism - Washington Times.
