The best way to cope it this is just to relax and never fight it.
The more you struggle to move, the more you will panic.
Better to have a glass of water beside you if this goes very often.
Also, better to stretch first and drink some water before bedtime.
Sleeping on the side (not on your back) is also the best way to eliminate this.
Trust me, I encountered this lots of times before..
