What is the best way to spend a free 12 hours in Hongkong?

I have this amount of free time before moving onwards.. to final destination.

Always did this. Even with a 9hr layover. Depends on your tripping.

For sightseeing you will have enough time:

    1. Bus to TST promenade then stroll.
    2. Star Ferry to the other side.
    3. Bus to Victoria Peak then stroll.
    4. Bus back to the harbor then MTR to Citygate mall in Tung Chung.
    5. NP 360 cable car then stroll to Big Buddha.
    6. Back to Tung Chung by cable car.
    7. Bus to airport.

What Time is your Arrival ?

    If day, then

    Go to Ngpong Ping 360

How? Take S1 route from the HKIA to CIty gate its just 20 mins from the aport.

At City Gate; Look for Cable Car Station going to NP360 and vice versa. Average stay 2-3 Hours max.

    or

Go to Tsim Sha Tsui Area.

    Take A21 Bus.

    - Stroll down at Avenue of Stars, Clock Tower, Museums, Harbour Mall and eat Authentic Chinese Food.

    Then go to Monkok

    How?

Take MTR. There's alot of MTR Exit in the area. Take Tsuen wan Line (Red) it's just 4 stops from TST.
and when at Monkok Station look for d3 exit - ladies market(souvenier items) or electronic areas(sai yeung chois st.).
Try street their street foods also.
    In going back just take taxi or;
    take MTR.
Look for TSUEN WAN line again, then get off at LAI KING station then transfer to TUNG CHUNG Line and get off at the last station Tung Chung.
When at Tung Chung City Gat go to bus terminus then look for s1 again to Airport!

You dont have to worry about bringing large amount of money. (abot gani tag 6 figures plus dollar.)

#1 Obviously, your a tourist and your going to spend the money there in HK. Unless, if you bring large amount of HKD going back to Cebu after your vacation then thats something the authorities will hold you for questioning but thats seldom, very seldom.

#2 Only people whos going in and out of HK thats obviously not on a vacation purpose.. they are the most suspicous ones.. they are in the watch list already.. or even people who are working in HK and bringing in large Peso amount from our country mao na sila ang madudahan.. kay why would you bring peso when you are already in the country thats not using your currency? Diba

But for tourista like kita diri, no worries. Spend your money in Hong Kong as if its your last spending.. tagsa ra bitaw.hehehe
