it's still thursday so you have time to read the book. I Am Legend is a short read. i read it in one sitting, around 4 hours. then we can read it again to study using the facilitator's guide questions. start reading it tonight...kung di mahuman hala mag cramming on the way to Turtle's Nest. this is one of the reasons why the book club was formed--to challenge everyone to get into the habit of reading. this is just one book a month. mubo pa jud kaayu ang I Am Legend. basig next month kay War and Peace...sukol mo? hehhehe...bitaw nindot man sad ning ma challenge ta ug basa ug baga nga libro...maong gihatagan gyud nig usa ka bulan nga pagbasa.

Cramming time na! Read I Am Legend now and see you on Saturday!
Yep. Everyone must be both reader and contributor (will take part in the discussion). Come on guys, you can do it. Hihi.

    Interesting thought, Velvett!

    Currently rereading the ebook.

The answer to that is very simple. You get bored with it because you're NOT a guy. This book is actually driven by gender (that is, it's more engaging and you relate more to the character if you're a man), and thus from a guy's perspective, the book is very thought provoking and engaging. Which is why, yes, the "spoiler-ish" question being posted here currently now (i.e. what if the lead character was a woman rather than a man?) is truly a great point of discussion and I personally have a LOT of things to say about this.

My only problem now is my sore throat

HAHAHA ...and that is how you answer a bored question. what an anti-feminist way of answering . I read robert ludlum books, erle stanley gardner books and such books are NOT for females as you may say, but I do enjoy reading it.

It's not about being anti-feministic, it's about being a realist. I mean, you can't relate as to why Neville would constantly churn and turn and grate his teeth, craving every night, thinking of those vampire women in the peephole, can you? I haven't had *** in three years...I can relate to Neville. See the difference now? So stop thinking I'm being a feminist, I'm merely expressing an aspect of a male characteristic that women cannot possibly relate to, simply because they are not male.

I mean just imagine, if it was a female character, say, "Roberta Neville" staring at that peephole, and some naked hunk vampire guy was dancing out there on her lawn, you'd probably just laugh about it. LOL I sincerely believe that:

    a) If Neville was female or

    b) If he only knew how to masturbate,

then over HALF of the problems in the beginning of the book will be no big deal, and that the character we'd be seeing would be more levelheaded and more stable.
