This question is in connection with the verse Ephesian 2:8, as widely claimed and used by many religious group and born-again movement.

    Peace!
If it is of value to me then I will receive it and thank the giver. If not, why should take it.

in Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

    but the pronouncement of CHrist:

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
    John 8:56

lain man gud kung muingon: "Your father Abraham, hundreds of years ago what Abraham did was that he WILL rejoice to see my day, hundred of years ago what Abraham did was that he WILL see it, and hundred of years ago what Abraham did was that he WILL be glad."

    mas maayo pa kung:

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Ang Genesis 1:27 wala man ga mention og "puwet" para mutodlo si idol nimo nga naay "puwet" and Ginoo. Ngano niingon man si idol nimo nga naay "puwet" ang Ginoo based on Genesis 1:27. Wala man ga mention og "puwet" ang verse.

About your statement: ........Abraham didn't know that it was Christ that he saw.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. John 8:56

Nindota pagkaedit, ngano butangan man og "WILL" nga pagsulti ni Cristo kay past tense naman so meaning nahitabo na nga nalipay si Abraham.
You have seen my point, its past tense and its done already.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

In this verses bro naa ba nakabutang dinhi nga naay mata, kamot, tiil, heart, dunggan, baba og etc ang Ginoo?

Let us be biblical and nothing more and less.

Christ was speaking from the vantage point of his time about Abraham in the past. He was glad and rejoiced upon seeing Christ's day. For he really saw it. And so the writer of Hebrews in connection with that wrote about it. I am not dogmatic about this though.

Have you heard of ANTHROPOMOSPHISM RC? The Bible employs figures of speech rc. When you encounter them in it, you dont take them at face value, rather you look for the meaning behind the figure.

First open it to be revealed (as a gift wrapped with beautiful wrapper).
Then keep it and use it.

And salvation in the bible should be kept and used/applied.
Salvation is the Gospel and the Gospel should be kept and maintained until the end.

    PEace!

    Hebrews 11:1 ,13?
Would you admit that Abraham really saw Christ?

Then if the bible has figure of speech then we humans will figure it out?
Then where to look the meaning behind the figure? from our own head or from our pastors head or from the bible itself?

And lastly you keep on questioning about PUWET in Genesis 1:27, wala lagi nimo tubaga ako pangutana about sa imo sige balik or giinitan nga statement? here basaha og tubaga:

Look up the dictionary and find out the meaning of Anthropomorphism rc.

Let me say again here what i posted in the other thread:

After months of having discussions with you, I realized that you will not accept anything from people if they do not jibe with what your idol teaches. You are here actually to promote you idol's teachings and to bring people into conformity with it. From here on expect brief answers from me, except on occasions when it necessitates a long one.
