    @edwin_sn: (OT) I really want to try film na Edwin but sadly the Canonet 28 isn't working. The battery contact is corroded and the shutter is stuck. Ako na gibilin ni Allen yesterday and we will just discuss how much to repair and clean it today. Lahi dyud look sa film

    @edwin: I'm crossing my fingers that Allen can still repair it. Otherwise, I'll hunt for one in ebay but I'll probably get an SLR rather than a rangefinder.

    @SUEDE: It actually looks like a movie still bai. Maybe you need films from the 70s

    @suede - unsa imo pasabot nga karaan og dating? vintage look?

    ang film nga expired or long expired won't result in a vintage look. usually you will have a loss of contrast, some shift in color, maybe more pronounced grain, fogging and etc. but it's usually contrast loss. this is due to the degradation of the emulsion.

    even if it's expired as long nga stored properly, it'll produce images like new.

    yep, feeling nako sa pagka store, pero lingaw man pud ang shots, naa lng uban na over-exposed.

    @cmontoya
    kanang ako gbutang are actually the better shots of the batch. ang uban kay ngitngit jud. extremes kaayo. if maayo imong vintage cam, picture picture nya ta puhon if mabakante na ko

    @kaotep
    yep, kanang vintage look bai, kanang sepia ang dating. this could actually be due to storage, kay pagpalit nako sa film ingon man ang tigbantay nga naka aircon pa kuno ni. some shots were really bad but i think this is because of my noob ablity. practice pa ko daghan. will try to post the other shots including katong bati.

    ahhh ang film man gud ages differently from prints. prints when exposed to sunlight and air, mu fade mao mahimong sepia usahay. depende pud sa paper ang chemicals used. ang film, mawala lang ang color but won't usually have a sepia tint not unless imo gibutangan og sepia filter

    @SUEDE: Allen is currently working on my rangefinder. If he can finish it within the week, I'll field test it on Sunday downtown (my favorite field test location, he he).

    My particular rangefinder is probably one of the predecessors of point and shoot because all I need to do is focus once (for a partular distance to infinity) and ensure the needle stays off the red zones (overexposed kung sa taas gamitan na ND filter or underexposed kung sa ubos, gamitan na flash but I doubt I would). Kutob ra 1/640 seconds iya shutter speed and even at max f/16, I'm worried about shooting during very sunny days outdoors.

    I have no control whatsoever over shutter speed or aperture. ISO ra hinuon to match the film I would load.

    Pero so far, ok ra man mga photos based on what I see here: Flickr: The Canonet 28 Pool

    @kaotep: As in my office mate before?

    @cmontoya...i hope ok ra imo rangefinder. Ako naanad nako rangefinder and mirrorless cameras. Dili nako ka shoot lower than 1/15th sa slr/dslr tungod sa mirror slap plus kurog sa kamot ;D . I sold all my dslr gear na. Ang ako minolta x700 nga film slr ako nasad ni baligya pero limpyohanan ang lens.
