Hello everyone!

we are required to read the book if we want to join the discussion. why? because we want everybody to participate--share thoughts, questions, favorite book chapter or lines, etc. No observer or passive participant then. that's the reason why we have a facilitator--he will pass around the "talking stick." when you have the stick, you are expected to share. ahehehe figurative ra ang talking stick ha.

it's still thursday so you have time to read the book. I Am Legend is a short read. i read it in one sitting, around 4 hours. then we can read it again to study using the facilitator's guide questions. start reading it tonight...kung di mahuman hala mag cramming on the way to Turtle's Nest. this is one of the reasons why the book club was formed--to challenge everyone to get into the habit of reading. this is just one book a month. mubo pa jud kaayu ang I Am Legend. basig next month kay War and Peace...sukol mo? hehhehe...bitaw nindot man sad ning ma challenge ta ug basa ug baga nga libro...maong gihatagan gyud nig usa ka bulan nga pagbasa.

@pinkdimensions naks hahaha. pareha baya ta nga mga nonfiction readers. i wasnt really excited about reading I Am Legend labi na kay horror (wa gani ko ni dayun ug tan-aw sa DVD kay nahadlok ko ) but it gave me a pleasant surprise! basaha na lagi! hehe


for me, the book is written simply. any HS kid can read it. but for me, it's profound...naay mga lines and ideas there that are really worth discussing.

we can prepare questions for the group man sa. i have a few. i share ni nako ang isa daan para maka ponder na mo for the answers.

QUESTION: Kung babaye pa to ang lead character, ma lahi kaha ang storya? noh? sure ka? ngano man? hehehe

i agree with you rodion. the book is very, very much different compared to the movie. the characters behavior, the cast of characters, the situations surrounding the characters, etc.
i find the book boring, imho. mas nalingaw pa ko sa movie. i have been trying to finish reading the book for 2 days now and by golly, my eyes would find ways to droop and be sleepy.
