'No need for Willie Revillame to undergo angioplasty'“Wowowee” host Willie Revillame is in good condition and there is no need for him to undergo angioplasty, according to a close friend. “Madadala naman sa gamot. Maliit lang ang bara [sa kanyang puso], matutunaw... Pero ginagawa naman ng doctor ang lahat ng magagawa nila para alagaan si Willie,” Randy Santiago, who temporarily replaced Revillame in the noontime show, said. Santiago also assured Revillame’s supporters that the controversial host is now feeling better compared when he first checked himself into a hospital. Reports said he might stay in a hospital for two more weeks. He added in jest: “Alam mo kasi si Willie, maraming puso yan... ayun napagod na ang lahat kaya ayan kailangan nang ipagpahinga.”Revillame on Sunday went to St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City where he reportedly underwent angiogram procedure to determine if he would need to go through angioplasty. The surgery aims to unclog obstructed blood vessels.His hospitalization was first reported by "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” host Boy Abunda Tuesday night.In August 2008, Revillame underwent an executive check-up, which revealed that he has throat, heart, and intestinal problems.He then admitted that his doctors had advised him to have a one-month rest but failed to heed this advice because of work.Meanwhile, Wowowee co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez and Valerie Concepcion wished Revillame a speedy recovery. On the other hand, comedienne Pokwang, also a co-host, said that she would rather not visit “Papi,” Revillame’s moniker, in the hospital because his condition might get worse. “Kapag nakita kasi ako ni Papi baka atakihin pa siya sa puso,” Pokwang joked.
