Keep getting the following error message when trying to send mail using mozilla thunderbird:

"An error occured while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1.... Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed. ...."

What's wrong with smartwifi's mail settings? My outgoing mail is set to smtp.smartwifi.com.ph. Any advise on how to correct this problem?

Meron three types of wireless internet:

First is the Wireless technologies using longer range directional equipment provide services in remote areas where DSL or cable modem service would be costly to provide. An external antenna is usually required. a small antenna located inside a home near a window is usually adequate and higher speeds are possible.

Second is the Wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology often used in conjunction with DSL or cable modem service to connect devices within a home or business to the Internet via a broadband connection. it is becoming more and more widely available at airports, city parks, bookstores, and other public locations called “hotspots.” Hotspots generally use a short-range technology that provides speeds up to 54 Mbps

Last is the Mobile wireless broadband services (3G). it is available from mobile telephone service providers. These services are generally appropriate for highly-mobile customers and require a special PC card with a built in antenna that plugs into a user’s laptop computer or to the 3G ready cellphones. Generally, they provide lower speeds.

Smart Wi-fi is not a Wi-fi but under the category of wireless internet.

Interpretation nako.. ang smart wifi nag use ug cannopy na antenna para maka kuha signal.. and uban air cards ang gamiton sa laptop or notebook para mak kuha signal.. so smart wifi is a wifi, nyahahaha

I have configured my outlook i am using smtp.smartwifi.com.ph ..for a while it work then it quit. log in to their site webmail.smartwifi.com.ph if you can login your lucky your accoutn works and you just need to have your thunderbird retry connection... try test it in outlook those setting should work.. mine works in and out because of their crappy connection... duh!

lock in period.... hahay... dapat kaning lock in period after 3 to 6 months of used of serviced pa moeffect... sa lain country naay 1 month free testing use before applying for subscription, saon ta mn la mn consumer act diri sa pinas mao nang magpatuyang ning mga big timer ug pang ipit sa customer..
