just out of curiousity, how did you guys come up with the name Skeptron?

The 16 founders from Sto TOmas 31 years ago decided the name SKEPTRON as our call sign for people who are not that frat lingual because SKEPTRON is a latin word for SCEPTER . SCEPTER incorporates KINGS , RAJAH's , HIGHNESS , ROYALTY etc .

Logically , those nouns portrays ABOVE or ON TOP .

I am of Alpha Phi Omega.

Affiliation to a fraternity doesn't stop me from being a brother to other fraternity men. I have had good friends from both Tau Gamma Phi and Alpha Kappa Rho whom I have so high a regard. I have had one of your brothers in your chapter, who didn't look like what he was in the inside, befriend me during my pledgeship. The same is true with some of LytSlpr's brothers.

It would be a blissful day when everyone unites...

Are you a serviceman or a dependent FERL ?? Just wondering ..... anyways , instead of supporting the fraternities/sororities voice and vision is a big boost and morale from the public instead of criticizing and downgrading the true meaning of brotherhood and sisterhood .

yup. as everybody tried to say that there are "bad catholics and good ones', then there are too many people out there criticizing... maangin ang mga nagtarong. the reputation alone can be affected by one minor mischief by one member nga makasala, what more kung naa ang magsige ug karga-karga.

me, i've always dreamd of the day, the so-called fratwar ends;
that the current leaders/officials of the different fraternities would set aside personal interests and instead work for the good of the community.
and members too.
we've always wanted that to happen.

that's why we have to be one. fratmen or not.
i dunno why it's so hard to do just that.

FRAT WAR... THREAT TO PEACE? this is something that can't be debated upon, any form of war may
it be fratwar or civil war is a threat.

I pitty innocent lives taken because of such petty reasons as this .. i am not against frat men, what
i'm against is how they deal with conflicts.

not all of us deal with conflicts thru violence bert... not all.

i respect the people who join frats, it takes a lot of courage to endure the initiations. the reasons for their joining do vary, i still have respect for them.

but what i don't get is the TGP - AKRHO war. some members of these two respected frats have succeedingly evolved their groups/ chapters to being gangs. from wall graffittis to all out frat war. gone are the times when frats had rules of engagements. when both parties agreed on how they would physically confront each other.


today, frat members get killed. shot at point blank while having dinner or drinking with buddies. it's scary to ponder on how these frats will further evolve if this frat war continues. their leaders MUST put their foot down and start acting as leaders.

not here vern. during the peace dialogue they coined this as "irritants" & i even argued "so what, if that's really the truth?" hehe!! but in a peace process we should put things like that aside.

if you really insist on knowing, i believe it's best that you get it from them coz considering that they will tell you the truth, it won't undermine us whatsoever. it is better & safer if it will come from them.

Ok here is the ANSWER that everyone is so curious to know . I dont know if this would spark a war in here for like what others say , this is the TRUTH .

1. It was believed claimed that the FOUNDING FATHER of AKRHO was a quitter of TGP and organized AKP tp retaliate back to TGP .

-------> FALSE , All 16 senior founders of AKP used to be GLAMOUR BOYS back in the days in La Salle circa 1967 and formed AKP in 1973 in UST . If retaliate was the focus , it is not possible because the very first conflicts of AKP n TGP did not occur in 1979 in UBELT w/c is about territorial reasons .

2. It was believed that junior FOUNDER , JUN PASAPORTE was chased by TGP in UE Caloocan and jumped from 3rd floor to ground floor in 1975 thus nicknamed PILAY .

--------> FALSE , I was in Caloocan last year to pay the last respects of AKP icon brod Jun " LABO " Pasaporte . Thus my information came from the pioneers of AKP . Back in 2000 , I met brod JLP in Dagupan , Pangasinan ..... their is no sign of disablity and being "PILAY" much more jumping 3rd floor could kill you . He was healthy as a horse so it was all hearesay after all the years of claimed asset of damaged .

3. Back in dekada 70 in UBELT, where stabililized fraternities already existed ....APO , Beta SIgma , SI , ANO , TGP , Beta SIgma Upsilon , etc etc ..... is an umbrella organization . AKP was a newcomer and was the target of conflicts because instead of forming one , why not join the existing frats ?? AKP was the center of attention because for 31 years , we stood by our own without the UNBRELLA org involved . Example of UMBRELLA org examples are TAGA LUYO of USC-TC and BLACK FLAG of USC-MAIN .

4. AMBROSIO , AMBROSIA ..... KILL TGP , AKP's doctrines and purpose .

---------> FALSE , if it is true ..... if that is the purpose of AKP in this world , di ba kaha mahurot ang TGP becasue each and every member's mission is to kill TGP ?? Cmon' isss that a joke ?? AMBROSIO / AMBROSIA .... in our bylaws , constitution , doctrines ?? Hehehe , been an AKRHO for 14 years now and im one of the reviewer and consultants of the revised documents never saw it in person . It is just a word of the street being passed down from someone else and made it notorious .



It is all ego . No more no less . Now Cebu's history of conflict fast forward in dekada 90's . AKP appeared in SWU in 77 w/ 5 pioneers but disappeared due to unknown reasons after 3 years of active membership that grew to around 50 in SWU and CIT .

In the late 80's and early 90's ..... deja vu from UBELT . gangs with the likes of headbangers , natas , venom , aos , thrashers , KOA , ANO , TGP and Taga Luyo . Umbrella organization again becasue AKP stood ny itself . Never asked the helped of someone but in the inside source e/c is AKP itself .

TGP conflict was highlighted as early as 90 - 91 . AFAIK , USC AKP n TGP were into it due to the stabilzation of AKP in USC TC by brod Engr Ramil Natan . Same concept of UBELT , before AKP will be stabilized in USC considering this the respected mother chapter of Cebu should be destroyed . To TGP's here , you can vouch this info from ENGR Mitchel FLores , a good friend and good adviser during our times in USC .

The rest is history . To any concern TGP , you can reply to this and give what you know and id be glad to learn it . Dont give info if you are a TGP of the late 90's and above . Firsthand experience should be a factor for like me , was there in the early years of the fratwar of AKP n TGP .
