I just happened to watch Ms. Tina Monzon Palma point out to Mr. Puno that the rice queues did not start until the GOVERNMENT actually started coming out with the DA's news releases of a rice crisis. So apparently it is a crisis that the government actually started. Yes I admit the shortage is global BUT and it is a big BUT, is that we are a rice producing nation. ANd that we have touted that any previous importations were merely as buffer stocks SOOOOO why is a rice producing nation with sufficient buffer stocks having a rice crisis?
    SImply put, 1 + 1 nganong nahimong negative 10?

The purpose of the emergency powers is to “immediately and effectively address the rice crisis in the country in the most efficient and judicious manner” and by that you cannot blame any stewpid idiot interpretation about the subject.

I think the president can “immediately and effectively address the rice crisis in the country in the most efficient and judicious manner" in any way possible, simply because she is the president, just look at the news about her visiting Customs, xa mismo ngpadali sa mga lakang para mapasakaan n ug kaso ang mga tag.iya sa questionable n arina, and did she need emergency powers for that? NO!!!!

her being the president is enough, plus the ever hardworking secretary p jd n mao nay mangunay ug visit sa mga nfa outlets, why do you need more?

You can't say that, most of our taxes goes to education and the local government to finance their workers.

And some go to the DPWH, for continuous building our road network.

why should the president be given any emergency power? what's happening now is a simple neglect on their part that created this crisis. one can even doubt if this crisis is artificial or natural. any idiot can spot any forthcoming problem. so my question is, why can't an economist leader see it coming?
