mao na imong prob dude. u know that theres an issue between that two HDDs' wa ko nasuya anang imong 465gb nga HDD or whatever. im just making a point nganong na ingon ana na sila. try to read news about them.

okey so it works for you right? unsaun nalang nang uban nga dili pareha nimog specs like sa akong g mention

ang imo d ayng observation? only that 465+ gb hdd? so tanan naai ingon ana nga HDD's dili man sad na pang commercial use. it's personal got it?

    oh and BTW.
ATA's 465Gb HD doesnt look good also.. try shifting it to SATA coz it has a better transfer rate

Wow just wow, first you generalize that WDs cannot be slaved to Seagate HDs. I tell you they can, then you insist, then I show you proof, now you are telling me I'm showing off. My whole damn point is that saying WDs can't be slaved to Seagate HDs based on your two drives is complete and utter false. Don't present your experience as fact when it isn't. If you are going to insist your correctness, I might have to sit you down in the quiet corner.

    oh and BTW
It's a server. Do I have to bust out my storage on my desktop? BTW lang ha.

Mao d ay kai mag pa master jud d ay ang WD. graveh. that one is a real issue jud. and kung performance? mas labaw ang seagate. i tried a researcdh on that. pinaka accurate ang seagate
specifically ...the seagate 7200.11 SATAII 500gb and higher. not in general babe..

in 150gb segment..the raptor X reigns.and in the sub 80gb also. mahal lang.

and regarding with slaving or mastering a WD to a seagate or vice versa..
possible na.. just read the jumper settings..

coz tricky nang WD....master or alone. master with slave..slave..blah blah.

i know jumper settings. hello it's just like 6 pins in it and it has a procedure in the hardisk where to put that jumper. usually master has no jumper in it

basta dili lagi ma-slave ang WD sa Seagate 80 GB. pramis

    Seagate Sata2 320GB vs. Western Digital Sata 2 320GB

the Seagate wins in most of the tests. For the experienced or even novice computer techies, the Seagate would be a better choice. With a 5 year warranty, compared to the Western Digital’s 3 years, the Seagate comes in as slightly cheaper, though that may also depend on your supplier. But this, in my eyes, makes the Seagate a better overall drive. Longer warranty, cheaper, and slightly higher speeds give the Seagate an A+ in my books. So whether you are a gamer, performance nut, or an average user, this Seagate SATA2 16MB Cache drive is for you.

<<<copied and pasted it here. from the link that i provided from the last post

wd: without jumper < master or single...no matter how u put a slave into this..the pc wud only detect the WD.

    hehehehe..

    i had a mix of 3seagate + 1 WD 80gb + 1 40gb samsung

    arrangement:

    Primary master - Seagate 7200.8 IDE 80gb / Primary Slave - Seagate 7200.8 IDE Seagate 80GB
Seconady Master - WD caviar SE 7200 IDE (black ang color ) / Secondary Slave - 80GB 7200.9 IDE 80GB

in my PromiseTech ATA66 PCI Controller Card :
Primary Master - 40gb Samsung Spinpoint 7200 / Primary Slave - LG 16x DVDRW DL
Secondary Master - SONY 52x CDRW / Secondary Slave - SONY 52x CDROM

    did i mention ...

    Seconady Master - WD caviar SE 7200 IDE (black ang color ) / Secondary Slave - 80GB 7200.9 IDE 80GB ?

    hahahaha. pataka kaman lang. jejejejejej...

seagate kai master sa primary master.
wd kai master sa secondary master.

no its not what i ment...

ingon ko. master ang seagate sa Primary Master then slave ang WD sa Primary Slave

so that means.... ------- Primary master - Seagate 7200.8 IDE 80gb / Primary Slave - WD caviar SE 7200 IDE (black ang color )

    have u tried it?
if its working then im done here. i just need to prove something

don't yo think its just the same?

wd is on the master? and seagate is on the slave?

dont u think i havent tried it on my Clients PC?

how long have u been on fixing PC?

have u mailed the MANUFACTURER about it? or have read downloadable article about it?

coz, i frequently visit the HDD site. whenever i encounter a problem..and i havent found an article about ur problem..

    maybe..u just change an IDE cable..they are rated at ATA66 / 100 /133...in case u dont know.

read more..u might need to try what i said...
