I'm using globe DSL for two years now and so far, with the exception of ginagmay nga problema, overall, akong experience with globe is wonderful. I pay 995 (exclusive of VAT) and that's for broadband and landline na. I don't know pila ang speed (i'm so un-techy) but I've noticed that medyo mohinay siya during peak hours and of course, during vacation nga heavy and usage sa internet. But all in all, I'm giving it a two thumbs up.

With regard to PLDT, medyo mahal jud ilang rate. We've been a PLDT subscriber for 20 years but had to cut it off to avail of Globe's reasonable prices + internet.

mas mahal jud ang pldt bro.. kay wala man jud na apil ilang pnohe gud. pero dipende kong unsa naa sa inyong lugar, ask sa imong silingan kong ok ba iyang internet connection, kong unsay kusog nga connection diha sa inyo inga ana ra jud na bro. kay ang uban nga lugar diri sa cebu nabasa ang ilang fiber oftic sa globe maong hinay ang uban nga area.

Optimize network settings, I tweaked mine using TCP Optimizer. Google it, para magamit sad ninyo. V.Rama, Guadalpe akong location bro.

Switched from Globe to PLDT. My experience with Globe is just so terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. And customer
support is also terrrrrrrrrrrrible. PLDT so far pinakamaau...my connection at home here in Cebu is ok and so far, with minor probs lang.

Since there's no PLDT sa province, my probs with Globe stays . I dunno with them (Gliobe) they just don't care about customer complaints.

CALL PLDT NOW, AND GIVE THEM LOTS OF COMPLAIN OF UR SPEED~ LIKE "WHY MY SPEED IS TOO LOWER THAN UR STANDARD SPEED?"

AND THEN~ THEY WILL REPLY LIKE THIS WAY "SORRY SIR/MA'AM. UR CONNECTION IS IN A TRAFFIC LINE, SO WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING"

AND U SAY "THAT S NOT MY PROBLEM!!!" MAYBE U CAN CHECK MY SPEED OVER THERE"

THIS WAS MY WAY~~. NOW I HAVE 220Kbytes/second. Before~ only 70~80kbytes/second.

hmmm, well, it's been a never-ending battlle of who's better than whom. There has been a lot of misconceptions in this area. I guess there will never be the best internet provider. The services of an ISP may actually vary on locations in reference to where the "NODE" (node is the location where all the DSL connections are being homed and distributed, example to this is the ONGTIAK BLDG. in mango ave, where i-Bank and the node of Globe is located. I dunno with pldt and bayantel though). Well, they say it really matters how near or far is the client located from the node. The farther the distance, the more likely it will have intermittent connection.

As for the customer service, both are actually not good if your account is for home use only. But if you have a corporate one (usually costs 45 grand a month, depending on bandwidth), the service is a little bit better, but stilll some of the providers don't invest on customer satisfaction...


I do not vote for any ISP, but still i will prefer globe w/ landline not because of the internet but because of the landline and my folks back home are also using globe... No more long distance rates applied then... wehehehehhe....
