Just saw it. Its a rollercoaster ride!

One visual effects sequence I didnt really relish in was the brontosaurus stampede. Dili kau convincing ang effects, especially when the guys get chased around. Murag hilaw pagka-blend ang live action and CG. But overall, I enjoyed the film.

Howard's scoring was average the histrionic elements of it weren't as touching as they normally are due to the fact that he was replaced almost hastily after Shore. Very good performances from all players. You see Darrow's 180 degree character.
There is symmetry towards the ending, Anne's arc and what she says in the beginning about believnig that good things don't last. There are some very enthralling moments in snow in the end, in fact the city scenes are the most exciting, at least in my opinion. What could possibly outdo the tension of Shelob and the elements that make one squeamish? They are in this movie as well.. dinosaur CG sometimes needs work. And some compositing shots were obvious but overall an achievement in moviemaking nonetheless. The final scene was breathtaking. But the romantic bonding between Bristol and Darrow somewhat lacked denouement.

I watched this for Naomi Watts and that is the only reason, if there's any disappointment it would probably be in Newton-Howard's scoring but NOT much can be expected from one who is required to make some musical compositions with virtual haste.

The opening and closing visuals foreshadow and reflect the profession and field of most of the characters, that and Jackson managing to create a really 50's feel at the beginning of the film, one which tends to be overshadowed by the actionpacked situations when we get back to the big apple towards Act 3.

    Grade B+

    Just saw this movie....

Hmmm.. watched it for Naomi Watts too.. i think she was really great for the part and it was justified...

~ i like the graphics.. especially the dinosaurs the, huge cockroaches.. from the dinosaur age, even the tribe peoples faces we're really scary.

~ Kingkong was pretty graphic.. but at least more realistic this time..

~Jack Black did surprise me with his role.. he portrayed the part well.. i mean you see him in a different light in this movie.

~ Adrien Brody.. he was just non-existent for me in the movie.. but he did his part well.. i always liked him as an actor...

Overall Rating: A must see movie.. but you got to prepared it's a 3hour long movie but definitely worth it! A new kind of twist with dinosaurs and tribe people lurking in the jungle.

He's a comic relief character but Jack Black portrays emotional scenes very well. Serkis is also good comic relief as his alternating role as Lumpy but without spoiling so much, he is a tragic character much like how Black was a tragic character in "The Jackal" remake opposite Bruce Willis.

Watched King Kong last night, and all I can say is that it is absolutely spectacular! It's the kinda film that reminds us why we watch movies in the first place. No point of me reviewing this film here, just go see it. You won't be dissapointed
