For me corruption is being practiced here has only one reason..SURVIVAL.
Its just that civil engineers are numerically corrupt compared to other profession. Tungod na sa flow of transactions which mostly involve connections.

if you are aware of this why not stay and make a change instead of going awry into silly matters which is actually the reality. Be it the Philippines or anywhere else. Little things do go a long way

It just happened nga ang ga-handle sa mga infrastructure projects sa pinas is ang mga civil engineers mao ma notice gyud nato nga daghan corrupt dina. Kung naa pa ngali ta daghan mga petrochemical plants or oil refineries, I guess you will find more corrupt engineers in different fields like electrical, mechanical, ECE, etc. Sakit na man gud sya being passed to generations. Having worked with a foriegn owned company dna sa pinas, I could say nga kumingking ra kaayo na mga contracts sa atong DPWH. We been working with oil refinery projects costing up to 3 billion dollars pero not a single dollar went to our pockets except sa amo sweldo. We do our bidding and procurement transparently and moagi pa ug pila ka kamot ang mga papers before the payment could be done. Hmmm. P80,000 usa kabuok. Perting bogo-a gyud tingali ang engineer ni-approve sa pag-procure ana. Or nagpabogo-bogo ra.
Pero not practicing the profession as civil engineer tungod ana nga mga circumstansya murag dili kaayo ko convinced aron. Sa gaiskwela pa ka, existing man na. It's not new. I would say, nag-nursing ka kay mao man na ang trend karon. Skwela nursing, take all the exams and go abroad to earn dollars. Mao ra man tingali na. Don't tell me nga magnurse ka dn sa pinas ra ka mo-work? Mao ra sad na akoa ma share.
