ang mga newer i3s ron, powerfull ni sila pero, kun paresan pug ug mamaw na current single GPU bisan 2nd tier lang like the GTX 1070 (not to mention SLI or Crossfire), basin dili ma unleash sa i3 or AMD's equivalent ang brute power sa GPU.

Celeron G530, Celeron G1620, Pentium G840, i3-2120, i5-2550K (stock & OC'ed), i5-3570 (non-K), i7-3770 (non-K) and Xeon E3-1230 V2, naa ko personal experience on a single and multiple GPUs (single GTX 660 Ti and its SLI, single GTX 670 and its SLI, single HD 7770 Gig Ed and its Crossfire and single R9-270x and its Crossfire)...

unsa man ang imohang current CPU & GPU? in general, worth ka mag upgrade to i3 if ang current CPU nimo kay Celeron or Pentium then medyo, power ang GPU nimo unya, gamiton nmo ang rig for gaming... a single GTX 960 and GTX 1050 and AMD's equivalent, kaya kayo ni sa i3 na I-unleash ang brute power nila...
    current rig sir @lloyd_joy , g4400 + gtx 950 + 2x4gb on ga-h110n mobo...
planning to upgrade my cpu...budget is limited to i3 6100

    Intel Pentium G4400 Processor Review - Budget Skylake - Page 10 of 13 - Legit ReviewsWitcher 3

check this benchmark bro... the performance of the Pentium G4400 is more than enough for the GTX 970 on Witcher 3 @ 1080p... at stock clock. the difference between a G4400 and i5-6660K is only 2.373 fps... an "insignificant" difference. but, on games that will utilize multiple CPU cores and multi-player online, diri nato makita ang limitation sa Pentium G4400 kay mag kamang2x na ni siya labi na paresan ug powerfull GPU like the GTX 970.

on a single player, kaya ra nya GTX 970 @ 1080p on Witcher 3... this single player game (which the benchmark above was made) is a GPU hog ...

so, tailor your HW config based sa games na duwa-on nimo... kun mag upgrade ka'g i3-6100, on CPU hog games, dako ang gaming performance difference in terms of fps ang imohang ma experience on your GTX 950. kani man gud bottleneck sa CPU & GPU, both will go hand-in-hand... depende sa games...

share nko akoang experience sa pag test nko sa Pentium G840 w/ a HD7770 GHz Edition on 2-way Crossfire configuration. game played was BF3... system mem: 8 GB...

    Note:
    * BF3 is a GPU hog game
    * BF3 on multi-player online gaming... is both a CPU ang GPU hog game

@ single player, 1080p resolution. GFX setting were all maxed out...
    > game fps, was running at 50 ~ above fps...

@ multiple player online (32 ~ 64 players), 1080p resolution. GFX setting were all maxed out...
    > game fps, was unplayable... its only 12 ~ 20+ fps... lag galore...

sa pag ilis nko'g i3-2120, pwerteng saka sa BF3 fps on HD7770 GHz Edition on 2-way Crossfire...

sa kani na experiment, it showed na ang game (depende pud sa game), dependent sa HW (both GPU ang CPU) ang gaming experience nato. kun pataka lang ta'g mix n' match sa PC HW, kun dili ma optimize ang pairing, aw, sayang ang money kay dili ma unleash ang full potential sa rig in terms of gaming performance as well as gasto kayo kay mag upgrade man ta para ma satisfy ang atoang longing sa smooth gaming experience...

which game is cpu or gpu hunger between witcher 3 and watchdog sir?? watchdog raman ako na test for now and i'm getting 45fps max on 768p and stutters at 1080p 60hz ra ako monitor/tv..

with in line to this.. maybe the temp affects the perfomance? cpu temp is around 55c and gpu at 60c..
sugo13 aluminum front panel dili man diay nindot ang case in terms of airflow..ang looks ra

    rephrase lang ko:

    1. Processor Bottleneck - where in your processor is dragging your games that are processor intensive
(like having a Pentium 4 with GTX 1080)

    2. GPU botleneck - where your GPU can not give you the expected FPS kay hinay ra kaayu
(like having a Core i7 6800 paired with a GT 730 playing BF4 kana grabe ka bottleneck)

this is why most PC master race OVERCLOCK their Processors so they could eliminate the processor as one of the bottlenecks sa ila system and paired it with more memory.. para walay memory swapping if makulangan.

so its easy to know which is dragging which

    SA akong case:

    i use a i5 3550 stock with
    GTX 1060 nga stock clock
    with 16 Gb of DDR3

    and i play at 1080P

So far ako BF4 is always at 80 FPS plus/minus (ultra Settings... 100 fps if no anti aliasings)

and i can say nga sakto ra ang timpla sa hardware...

Watchdog is a CPU hog game bro. kun serious ka sa ani na game, if your budget permits, get the i5... otherwise, the i3-6100 is OK for this game... pero, basin mag kisi2x napud unya ka sa i3 on this game. to control the itch, get the Skylake i5 for your mobo and you're very good to go on that gaming title of yours...

an i3-6100 is better compared to a Pentium G4400 on Watchdog...

about diay sa gimention nimo na temp sa GPU @ 60 Deg C, that is fine bro... that temp range is normal once your GPU will run at full throttle... kulba-an naka kun mo abot na'g abot 80 ~ 90 Deg C kay taas2x na gyud ni... kun mo abot pud ni na temp, mo throttle down na ang GPU nimo pud para mo ubos ang temp nya... kun mag in ani, mo lag ang game...

About sa temp sa CPU, ok ra na. acceptable level lang nang 55 Deg C... kun mo init pud na sya'g mayo, mo throttle down pud na sya... then mag lag galore napud ang game...

    @Fern g4400 + gtx 950 + 2x4gb sir, must be cpu bottleneck
@lloyd_joy for now i3 pa ang ma afford sir.. taas pa kaau price sa i5 gud.. og gpu temp mo reach 70c,cpu 60c max nani nga temp

okis, ok ra gyud na kayo ang i3 na gi planno nimo bro as limited man ang budget. kumbate pa nang GPU sa 70 Deg C then CPU sa 60 Deg C... those temps are still considered as w/in the normal working temperature...

^ good to hear.. abi nako mag "fire burning on the dance floor" nako ani nga mga temps.. nag hubo nlng gud ako SS sg13.. i3 6100 rajud ang ma afford kai cheapest at 5.1k..

Akong g4400 ni bottleneck sa akong GTX 960 sauna, GTA V ra nuon. After i upgraded it to an i3+ gtx960, wa na siya mo bottleneck (50-60 fps). When I jumped to an i5-6400, stable at 70 fps na paired with 1050 Ti.
