i care less for blender.com i just read an article on the paper that morning so i googled blender and found the article.

Blender for one is not a credible music source, so the article is very subjective, like how you are with regards to Stings music. Have you even tried to listen to most of the songs of Sting OR The Police?

Same as Miahbird, I am not a fan of Sting's lyrics but I do love some of his songs... especially his work with The Police. I like the Police mainly because Stewart Copeland is sitting behind the kit and they all made great tunes. I like some of Sting's solo works mainly because people like Vinnie Colaiuta, Manu Katche, Josh Freese, Keith Carlock, and Omar Hakim (to name a few). Lyrics-wise, I'm not a big fan... he mostly writes love songs. Especially with his newer materials, almost all of it are love songs. I have nothing against love songs... I just don't have it in me to listen to a whole CD of love songs. He once said that if he was to write about something else, he'd be better off being a journalist.

Although, after saying all these.. I don't think he's the worst lyricist ever.. that honor goes to those people who deserves it more.

After scanning through Blender's list of worst lyricist ever, I can't believe that they have all these great people in that roster. Neil Peart at number 2 - wow. Jim Morrison at number 10, Genesis (includes Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel) at number 13... Paul McCartney, Billy Corgan, Anthony Keidis..... Robert Plant?

eitherway, the police tour have been getting bad reviews too.... sorry, like i said im no sting fan and im here to rub it off on sting fans.... teehee...

you cant rely to much on reviews ma friend.... Titanic got bad reviews when it came out and yet its one of the best films in history. you probably read about their kick off show before the Tour. which Sting himself admitted that the start-up was a bit dull in his opinion....

i dunno whats there not to love about Sting and his music?
