yah, if you're looking at the 500V and the Centro, you wouldn't notice any difference except the color.Originally Posted by Uzumaki Naruto
This is a good smartphone. the WinMo version is very good.
the WinMo version is modified for this phone version.
Instead of having a START button that brings up the start menu, it brings up a sort
of console. more like the media center edition. there are main icons that appear on top
that you can navigate LEFT/RIGHT. below are the sub categories that you navigate
UP/DOWN..
seen the centro na and dili jud cya ideal para sa mga dagko nga fingers... plus side, it has PTT (push to talk) na, winmo 6...
so far touchscreen lagi but gamay pud kaayo.. winmo 6.0 has great GUI interface.. but all apps must be launch w/in the start menu.. not unlike the palm OS where in you can just jump from one app to the other (w/out ever thinking of closing the prev one that you've open)... w/ winmo.. you have to be concern about opening a lot of apps.. because winmo OS is a memory hog when it comes to system apps/user apps.. the more you open a lot of apps, the more it creates temporary TMP files under the device's folder \windows\TEMP..so the more prone you are to system hangups/freezes... These tmp files can aslo be generated whenever you browse a lot thru your winmo device's internet explorer.. this were some of the major drawbacks on why you can't activesync your datas to your pc in microsoft outlook...
you have a point but you can install pBar or Magic Button so that the previous application that you have opened will be really closed, not still running in the background. And MemMaid or FastCleaner will solve the problem of your precious memory being eaten awayOriginally Posted by joshbonz
you have a point sad bai... great advise...
yep mao gyud ni probs sa Windows Mobile applications tol kay they tend to eat up a lot of precious memory. Mao sa akong device I set up a huge space for Main Memory using DOC Hima Tools, instead nga ma wasted lang sa RamDisk nga ma reformat lang wen you hard-reset your device.Originally Posted by joshbonz
yeah i agree..by the way bro.. naa kay nahibaw-an nga 3rdparty app.. nga mo erase pud ug mga tmp files..stored inside the \windows\temp folder?
mao man gud sometimes ang cause why activesync would hang up (when your syncing to your pc) when you have more of this tmp files created inside the temp folder...
you mention something like fastcleaner.. is that app also going to erase the tmp files being saved inside the temp folder also?
TIA bro...
try MemMaid tol, daghan ug options to choose what directories to clean. i think adto ta padayon sa other thread for Windows Mobile.Originally Posted by joshbonz

ok bro.. thanks
Good news, the Treo 500v is already released in Singapore. the V stands for VODAFONE. So, it's only available at vodafone and its sister networks (M1 in singapore).
However, this is an unlocked (open) unit so it can be used with any network.
The only problem is the startup logo will be for vodafone. and.... it will not automatically detect the GPRS, MMS, and WAP settings for networks other than vodafone and her sister networks.
