Here in Singapore we experience the same predicament, the government here complained so much about the intentional forest fires in Indonesia. The forest fires were made to pave way for palm tree planting and bolster palm oil production. It's quite ironic for some investors of the palm tree business in Indonesia are Singaporeans.

This is very very alarming. Travelled from cebu to tacloban earlier 6am and i must say nga the flight was turbulent and 10% ra ang visibility in the sky. Padulong cebu last friday was the same story. Kuratan nlng ko nga ni land na diay ang eroplano. The plane kept climbing until u see nga murag carpet ang imong makita sa ka baga sa haze sa cebu. And i will say nga it has reached tacloban.

My mother who is a doctor told me na nag daghan ang kaso nga lisud ginhawa or asthma diri sa amoa pati pud ako sis nga nagmedicine mao pud ingon and mga hearing sa akoang ubang migo.

Haze is different from smog. Smog ky aso rman na while ang haze ky dust particles suspended in air- coming from a friend who works at DOST region 8 here in tac.

U can just imagine a dust storm nga point of view ani and I dont know why the media isnt tackling this issue seriously.

dont expect any instant or fast reaction from the govrnmnt so i advice u guys to take precautionary measures. Im just a concerned citizen who has experience how it is to be like in a post apocalyptic world (yolanda).

Few months nako nag puyo diri sa Nivel Hills and it's the first time nako nakita ang bago nga aso sa cebu city ug sa mandaue side, even early morning bisan ni gawas na ang adlaw naa gihapon ang aso makita from 9th floor diri sa JY. Cebu is starting to look like China. Not sure if tungod ni sa haze or smog lang jud ni tungod sa grabe nga air pollution sa atoa.
