There are flaws from the report , the first article stated that she was left in the road half naked but conscious and karon unconscious na . Of course the govt will give her full support fabricating stories . I condemn RAPE and SEXUAL ASSAULTS myself but Ive seen too many of them already that make sme think also JUSTICE should PREVAIL , not only to the " victim " but also for the " accused " .

You are right , even a prostitute can say no but what if she decided to say NO after CONSENTUAL *** ? Put in mind ... 2 things , PERSONAL MATTERS and POLITICAL matters . The latter benefits the officials who are against the presence of the US armed forces in Philippine soil and the first one is a bait ... a win , win situation because of the nature of the work . There was no ASSAULT existed according to reports but only for rape ... who cares ? She gets money from the local govt and compensations from the US govt taxable by the local govt . Remember the " RAPE VICTIM " kadtong pag SINULOG na taga CDO kuno and hails from a respectable family but actually was a local from ERMITA CARBON and was also a prostitute ?

justice is adversarial when two sides of the case square off to uncover truth and affix responsibility by examining evidence through the questioning of witnesses and the parties involved.. unfortunately, it is apparent, even with how we initially incorporating our views that it’s the credibility of rape survivors/victims that is examined more closely than of the offenders.. some cases seems greatly affected by the race, and occupation of the perpetrator and the victim, their relationship.. and the victim's risk-taking behavior, reputation, or moral character.. although local prosecutors may personally reject the appropriateness of these grounds, they feel themselves positioned downstream of jurors, so they nevertheless incorporate these factors into decision making..

ever heard of any case involving these who at the end they get to serve what should have been due to them?? (coz, i haven't heard of any so far..)

as for the possibility of the girl fabricating the story.. personally, i doubt if anybody would subject herself to such burdens and eventual drastic outcomes willingly.. at least, no body at her right state of mind..

the girl was bar-hopping, danced with a total stranger and got inside the stranger's car... it's not sure though if she was forced to get inside the vehicle...

CHances and probability lang ang opinion for it is not new and it is not alarming to happen anywhere US armed Forces are present . It happened already before and could w/ will happen again elsewhere .

That's what most of the witnesses said about the girl.. So partly she's also to be blamed.. But the offenders should also stay.

‘American guards raped Australian Taliban detainee’

SYDNEY: US soldiers sexually abused an Australian terror suspect now being held at the Guantanamo Bay military base in Cuba, the man’s father alleged in an interview screened Monday.

Terry Hicks said his son David had told him he was tortured during two 10-hour sessions shortly after being captured alongside Taliban forces in Afghanistan in late 2001. Hicks said he initially questioned his son over the nationality of his torturers but he insisted they were Americans because of their accents.

“He said he had a bag over his head and he said, ‘Oh look, I know their accents, they’re definitely American’ - some pretty horrific things were done to him,� Hicks told ABC television.

He said his son told him he was given injections by the Americans and anally penetrated with a number of objects.

Former British Guantanamo Bay detainee Martin Munbanga said Hicks told him he was flown blindfolded from a US warship in the Gulf to an unknown destination that he believed to be Afghanistan or Pakistan where the torture sessions occurred.

Hicks, 30, a convert to Islam from the Australian city of Adelaide, is due to stand trial on November 18 before a US military commission on terrorism-related charges, including attempted murder, aiding the enemy and training at Al Qaeda-linked military camps. He has denied the charges.

Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said he was surprised at the allegations, because Hicks had never raised sexual assault matters when the Australia’s consul in the US had visited him in Guantanamo Bay over the past four years.

“If he had been raped in this period of time, surely people would come to the Australian government and tell us about this,� he told reporters. “Anybody being raped, regardless of circumstances is completely unacceptable. It’s an utter outrage, but the claim is appearing in a television programme and I’ve not heard of it before.�

Downer said Australian officials in the United States would look into the claims, which follow allegations last week by a former US army chaplain at Guantanamo Bay that Hicks was offered prostitutes in exchange for information. afp
