I think you must minus by 0x30 or equivalent. For example, ang ASCII values sa 1 kay 0x31. You must substract it 0x30 para makhuha ang number.

uhmm and yeah there are serious programmers who are doing ASM. like game devs, crackers and hackers alike. although not an entire program.. but mostly they are doing it on crucial procedures whre in they dont like the compilers doing it for them , or that theres no other way around.

programmer's now a days they are not use the assembly language..
they used the object oriented programming language like java and visual basic..
but still if we know how to program in assembly it is very advantage of a programmer bec.
he/she can manipulate directly the computer...
