Default uyon ba ikaw sa pagpatuman sa national ID system?

yes i would really like some more explanation why are we goign for this national ID system.

whats its difference from those other ID's like voter's ID, drivers license, etc. etc.

and about that drugs drugs thing, getting a drivers license now requires a drug test to be taken. but im sure some of you knows that there are some testing centers that lets the users pass.

as of the moment my stand would be no. unless someone can enlighten me on what will this new id will do.

There are Pros & Cons but I believe the Pros far outweigh the Cons in this aspect. Most of the progressive countries in the world have been implementing this so why can't we? This will lessen the corruption if you really come to think of it.

If the government is proposing to enforce a national ID system, I think this is just their way of making people believe that they are doing something about counteracting terrorism. To make themselves look good in the eyes of the masses.

Most countries susceptible to terrorism have done a lot of studies in proposing a national ID system, yet most of them were never successfull in implementing one.

Some of the reasons why it didn't materialize:
    1. It suppresses civil rights and privacy.
    2. It encourages discrimination in the areas of employment, security or credit applications.
    3. It's not an effective crime or terrorist fighting tool and it's not tamper proof.
    4. It's high potential for abuse, by public or private entities.
    5. It's costs exceeds it's benefits.
    6. It's not going to stop the influx of illegal immigrants.

the NATIONAL ID SYTEM is a document that serves as your identification paper and proves you to be a bonafide resident of philippine island and not an illegal alien. It is important that you carry your NATIONAL ID with you at all times.
... this will lessen terrorism.. i believe..
