dili diay pareho ang sata cable sa desktops ug laptops? pareho ra man gud sa picture.
unya ang 2.5" sata ssd kay pwede ra man makabit sa desktop?
pasensiya na kung sayop akong pangagpas.

@demzr if after installation sa windows magcge gani restart mao rani ako mahuna-hunaan either:
1. Dghan na ayo scratches ang emu cd/dvd installer so dli maayo ang pagkainstall sa OS. Try to use another CD/DVD or if you have USB installer mas maayo.
2. You can go to advance and change the option for your hdd(1st check what default configuration if ata/sata, try to change it to AHCI to IDE, then save changes.)
3. You can run the system diagnostic screen to check if both of your RAM and HDD are ok.
4. Check the backside of your laptop if it will cause too much heating while the installation is running (You can probably tell which is normal and overheating) ...and make sure you put your laptop on a flat hard surface para mkagawas jud tarong ang airflow nya...

before katong ok pa ni sa wala pa nko gireformat...gicheck na nko..CPU, Motherboard , etc..ok and temperature...ang ako lng nalabtan is ang pag reset to default settings and BIOS by pressing f9...then nag reformat nko...I thout ok jud then human sa installations sa OS and initial programs..ako na gireeboot...removed nko dayon ang poratble dvd nga naay OS...pag ON balik kay sa BOOT menu na kutob...naa sa PIC # 3 ako g.attached sir..

mga MAster..ako gitry and DIAGNOSTIC to check d RAM and HDD ...nahuman jud pro wala ko kasabot ky japanes man gud ....nasabtan nako kay N and Y..ra N for NO and Y for YES...cgehan nakog YES...

Murag kinahanglan na jud nako patabang ninyo dha kung kinsa pwd mk meetup to check my laptop SIrs!!! mubayad lang kog service nnyo gamay...

Master Advanced Bios naa nko Pic # 5 unya Diagnostic Program Pic # 4...ang Pic # 3 master wla jud Boot List didto walang ang HDD Sir..

@chrisangel actually ang HDD sa Laptop pwede na nimo magamit sa Desktop so pwede nimo ma hook up ang HDD, same rana cla og SATA Ports.

@demzrheo888 i just think nag start ni imong probs pag reset nimo to factory settings sa BIOS, so dunay changes nahitabo sa BIOS prior to the problem started even if imo sya gi reset to factory default. In your case, inig paslak nimo sa Portable DVD ROM then imo i skip without pressing key so that means mo boot imong HDD? so let us claim nga there is no defect imong HDD mo boot man ang imong OS when the time nga imo i skip so automatically mo boot na sya sa imong 2nd boot priority device which is your HDD.

Akong suspect ani boss murag naa ra jd ni settings usbon sa imong BIOS. If wala ang imong portable optical drive nka insert, try daw adto sa BIOS if detected ba imong HDD and try to set it as 1st boot device, you can also try by pressing F12 d naka need mo adto sa BIOS adto raka sa BOOT MENU if unsa gusto imong pilion, and check if naa imong HDD, if naa select it suwayi of mo boot ba ang OS.

Yes, they're the same but then again I'm not asking about the ports but rather the cable connected directly to a laptop (though I'm not sure as well if this laptop is using SATA or IDE cable), if you have read the other response from other members they are giving advise to buy a new SATA cable because they are thinking it was a desktop but rather a laptop.

Try daw disabled sa AHCI bro, save changes then go back again to bios menu check kung nkaDisable na ba jud. if same then exit. This time press F12, tan-awa kung naa naba moAppear na bootlist(or kung makita na ba emu hdd)
