cge lang nang showband.. panginabuhi ra man sad na nila.. and entertainment purposes nya daghan man sad malingaw .. basta malipay ang mga taw okay na.
nya sa mga banda sad, kahibaw naman ta tanan sa reality dili lang sa cebu kung dili sa Pilipinas. sa manila, mabayran cla pero di jud kaayo dako na fee.

pero as romantic as it may sound, i'm so proud of these bands we have here in cebu kay bisag unsa ka lisud sa panahon.. they do everything they could to hone their musical skills and share it to the public. bahalag mo gasto cla for practice and recording..most of them pa jud, students pa na ga-depend pa sa parents.
kana lang na angle imo tan-awn.. makaingon na ka na they play for the love of music and its a huge contribution to the arts. bows down ko cebu bands. :mrgreen:

the philippines is one of the countries where rockstars are poor, talented, genius but dirt poor, poor as a rat. kining talent sa mga musikerong cebuano kung sa gawas pa ni, sa US pananglitan, dato na kaayo sila.

Mag sugod man gyud na sa ingon ana ba... don't expect nga naa mo'y cut sa inyong pagtukar ug nagsugod pa mo. Â*
Depende man sab gyud na sa deal ninyo sa organizer.. if makapasulod mog pila ka taw nga nagbayad ug cover, makapangayo sab mo'g cut ana unta (ug nagsabot mo sa ga organize). Â*As far as the club goes... dili man mo COVER/SHOW BAND so dili mo empleyado or under contract sa CLUB.

Bands have other ways to earn money man sab... that's through your merchandise... shirts, pins, stickers, CD's, etc... have your friends market your stuff sa gigs ninyo para makabawi mo gamay.

Ug sa US pa bai, mas dako ang competition... do you think gamay ray mga maayo sa States? Sa Subway lang sa NEW YORK daan daghan nang mga maayo... mga street performers.. pero mao na, talented kaayo pero naa ra sa Subway nag tukar tukar para maka kwarta, gukoron pa sa Police usahay ug walay permit.

Lisod gyud ning kinabuhi sa musicians kay slim kaayo ang chances nga mo asenso. Â*Labi na karon... daghan kaayong mo pirate ug mga CD, hasta ang mga banda nga namawi lang sa ilang gasto sa recording ug sa pressing sa CD, piratahon gihapon. Â*Mao nay luoy.

EZRA: sakto jud ka.. pero mas daghan sad opportunities didto coz they can make music their dayjob..maybe dili tanan mosikat pero kung naa kay show, naa jud kay money. like my cousin in NC.. his band do shows around NC and some neighboring states.. and they get paid.. he gets to buy a car and pay his college tuition too out of those shows.. his sister saw the bands here in cebu and how talented they are.. they were shocked to find na bands play for nothing but beer and love of music.. bilib kaayo cla sa mga pinoy. hehe
