If they do not like torrent downloading, then why they are boasting/advertising their increased speed plans? 3-10mbps just for streaming and plain browsing?

Maayo pa mo balik nalang sila sa ilang 384kbps and 512kbps plan offerings, tinood pa og walay throttling or limits...

They really need to address this issue or else maghinayhinay gyud sila kawad-an og customers...
the needs of many outweighs the needs of the few... i've read from various sources na pldt's bandwith is being eaten up by 10% of its subscribers which are massive users p2p... in order to even the field, they throttle the said p2ps to enable others to use its services without its speed slowing down

I know its a shared bandwidth... P2P's and congestion will always be there... Heavy bandwidth usage among customers is already typical nowadays due to innovations and technology... Their(PLDT) way to implement the bandwidth shaping suffers others... There is no "equality" in the speed distribution, not even close.. And if what they are doing is to target the speed of 'not slowing down', then why people here are complaining about?... You see, they are rolling out increased speed in plans but suffering from this issue, 'quite ironic'...

I believe what they really need to implement is to get more additional bandwidth to compensate with their upgraded plan packages instead of squeezing the already tight existing bandwidth. I know buying additional bandwidth is very expensive & will have an impact on the rates of their plan packages but its a way to 'lessen' the issue, specially the bandwidth shaping they are doing cannot procure anymore a good result.

** By the way, ive read from another site that they are suffering now from a cut submarine cable somewhere in Asian connection... And that caused this issue...Do hope its true and will be addressed as soon as possible.

Experienced it also, but only with torrents all possible download using torrents are slow right now, not just movies and videos but also file download that uses torrent

But for other things like browser download, browsing, online games and streaming, they seem to be fine. So I can't say na capping jud ni siya.

Or maybe they're adding security layers to torrents, patay bantay2 na jud ta ani sa atong mga gipan download sa torren
