UPDATE v2: So naka kuha na ko ug much better nga psu, silverstone st60f 600w modular 80+ bronze courtesy of boss 42te. Now I am a bit confident at overclocking this gpu now kay taas2 na wattage or at least ang amperage sa iya 12V rail thingy hehe. So, I was out to prove to myself nga the 770 lightning is just a rebadge 680 lightning. And prove it I did, ako gi overclock same sa stock settings sa 770 using msi afterburn. Stable, no problem whatsoever. Ako gi compare using some game benchmarks like Metro LL, Tomb Raider, NBA 2k14, then Unigine heaven benchmark and yeah still stable. Temps, well pinaka taas na abot was 61 C at around 90-100% gpu load. FPS however roughly around 2-3 fps ra difference sa stock lol. So what does this tell me? I got a pretty good deal with this gpu lol. And what this tells us is that GPU makers are probably out of ideas how to improve or step up their hardware. Of course it's just my opinion teehee.

No, gpu makers are not out of ideas. They intentionally did not push for the best performance from Kepler because the gap with the previous generation would be too wide and that they meant to release a rebadge line from higher clocked chips. TITAN was supposed to be the 680 or 680ti, 650ti boost was not in the original assumed roster. Besides, Nvidia did not feel the pressure from AMD's Southern Islands which were released first.

Kita ray murag kids ani, getting fed with small bits of candy just so they wouldnt run out easily. Expensive bits of candy yet we need candy and have to buy.

NOTE: Id like to correct myself on post #2 . Mo-error gyud diay ug wala tong 2 pins sa 6+2pins kay ang usa nila sensor. But technically, ug dili lang unta sensor to, madala ra.

Yes duha sila and this is not new bro. 67xx cards were rebadged 57xxs, GTS 250 was a rebadged 9800 gtx+ and so are other GF200 cards. Naa pud before them.

Oh I see, tnx sa info. I was not into the pc gaming scene pa when those gpu's came out gud so ul forgive my newbness hahaha.

in ears of the GPU Company, "Rebadge" is not a good word... "Refresh" is... nyahahahaha... bottom line, both are the same and its common and a business decision...

  10. #30
Nyahaha now that u mention it kita kog mga youtube videos nga interviewhon ang usa ka marketing rep sa nvidia or amd "Refresh" jud ila gamiton. But ur ryt, if ako sd cgro naa sa ila position I would make that move sd. Too bad I'm not, we're not and we lose money they gain ahahaha.
