Actually it was Marcos who really made our national debt grow so big. Imelda used World Bank funds as her own piggy bank.

And GMA's administration has borrowed more money than the administrations of the previous 2 presidents (Erap, FVR), combined.

GMA borrowed money bcoz the government could no longer materialize the budget..since most of it were plundered during Erap's time.

Yup... GMA borrowed money to spend on things like the Macapagal Ave. (a.k.a. the Yellow Brick Road) and the US lobbyists.

I'm not defending ERAP, I think the man is a disgrace to the Presidency. But don't you find it ironic that the things he is accused of (plunder, jueteng payola, etc) have also now been directed at GMA and her family? And at least, even though unfortunate, Erap was elected fair and square, landslide victory, by the biggest winning margin in any Philippine Presidential election. GMA became president without an election and remains president today by lying and cheating.

Nothing has been proven with Erap either... his trial is not yet over.

GMA however did everything possible not to go to trial (despite saying she wanted to face the issues in court).

..but the plunder evidence is already there..the only problem is the delaying tactics of erap's counsel.

...the oppositon already had a chance in impeaching GMA in court..only that they were unorganized in submitting the complaint.

evidences were indeed laid down, but the trial didn't come to it's finally.. so we can't be absolutely sure if such evidences are indeed material/sufficient/credible enough to convict Erap..

as for our president, the problem really is not because of the evidences, i believe the opposition really had good enough evidences to bring the complaints to proper trial, but as what you have said, it's just the opposition themselves weren't organized, some of them have even hidden agenda's lurking behind their false intentions of upholding the truth..

if Erap did not plunder peoples money and give it to his mistresses then we could have a great relief from debt
and GMA did not use the money for her re-election... in paying those election operators.
