Having jammed with Jon for an hour (he's amazing; in a good way ), I don't think he has that intention of bringing someone down. Look at it as a challenge; for us noobs to improve ourselves. It's going to be real hard for you to grow just because people look at you; be it in a good or bad way. You're in the stage, for crying out loud.
