JAY LENO or CONAN O' BRIAN?

Leno's show is way too scripted & too predictable. You pretty much know already his punchlines before he even finishes telling the joke. Leno appeals to people who wants their comedy spoonfed to them. As an interviewer, (like Oprah) he pretty much just kisses a$$ to his guests.

Though I find Conan's voice annoying, the guy is smart & zany. His inventiveness reminds me of young Dave Letterman.

Jay also Rip off other comedians w/ their material.

Jay's leaving in a couple of years with conan replacing him. Sadly, conan won't be as funny since the show be more cencored.

but seriously, i like conan. he's very down to earth and very well manages the mood of his show. even makes fun of his punchlines when it fails to deliver. like "oohhh, that was a bummer, i'm so boring" or something like that, then that usually cracks me up. a mark of a true comedian. Leno's superior complex gets on my nerves. especially after seeing that movie where tv execs robbed letterman of slot and gave it to Leno when this other comedian retired (forgot the name, the tip of the tongue syndrome).

the best episode of Conan was when he was in "canadia" and he matched wits with jim carey himself. like conan was telling carey in utmost seriousness: nobody likes your slapstick antics anymore and your lame impersonations, or something like that, then stops for a few seconds maintaning a very serious look, then busrsting with a wide "just joking" grin, carey answers that plainly nobody plainly likes conan and he's gonna die alone doing the same pause and the grin after a few seconds. they continue doing it with prolonged pauses befroe the grin evrytime.

You probably mean Johnny Carson. He's the original host of the Tonight Show and he just passed away a few months ago.
