@ weezur: i have a Sharp AQUOS LC-26GA5U (26" widescreen LCD / aspect ratio 16:9 ) max res is 1366x768 but i have it set on 1280x768.
so thats the reason why i have my 7800GTX OC on that res.


i will upgrade my monitor with a Dell 3007WFP-HC 30" LCD with a max res of 2560x1600

and when that comes i can play games at 1600x1200 or 1920x1200 res (i should prob-ly have a HD 2900XTX or maybe a 8800GTX and a AMD Barcelona "quad-core" by the end of this year or begining of neXt year)

the framerates take a hit in places where there are heavy "lighting effects" when i use higher res..i kinda don't like my rates dropping to 35fps down. i constantly use FRAPS to monitor rates playing.

besides, i'm not able to see the difference in high res with F.E.A.R.

my Palit 7900GS is just a couple of months old..maybe after a year, will definitely try those DX10s on a not-so-pricey high performance card. this will be more worth the eye candy DX10 than a phone upgrade (original plan)...hehehhehe.

anyways, playing BF2 with 2GB of ram...definitely a must with those huge maps.

Played Doom3 once on my 6600 GT and its very smooth how much more if your video card is 8800 GTS

You asked for games that has the heaviest requirement. Try looking one of those that are currently being used in benchmarks.

I usually see Company of Heroes, Quake 4, F.E.A.R. and Half-Life 2 Lost Coast and many more... just look for them in there.
