Its Mali problem not the West problem. If they impose Sharia Law, its up to them its their country.
Mali requested military intervention from France. Their request was granted, no need for geo-political conspiracy theories as this story is extremely straightforward.

I try my best to respect that others hold differing opinions to my own, but just once I would like to hear you condemn the horrors being perpetrated in the name of Islam. Are you a Muslim? Is it inconceivable that you would be critical of Islam even in it's most abhorrent form?

Yes its a request from a MILITARY JUNTA Regime which they slept the same bed with France. Once the Opposition will take over the country, French investment will be evaporated.

Its because i talked about Western hypocrisy and exposing what theyre doing makes me a Muslim? HOOO MYYY GOOODD!

I thought you're anti Sharia Law how come you never condemn Saudi Arabia also?

King Abudulla Holding Hands with Bush. lol

Saudi Arabia while not ideal by any stretch of the imagination is nowhere near as extreme as the type of society which the Mali Islamists are trying to create and which they are forcing at gunpoint on a population which does not want them. No sane person wants these monsters spreading throughout the region. The cost of dealing with Afghanistan was already very great; watching while murderous extremists set-up residence in another part of the world is not an option.

You failed to answer my simple question so I will repeat it:

The reason why I ask is that many Muslims who call themselves moderate or educated do not speak out against extremists and I am very interested to know why?

LMAO. The House Of Saud is importing WAHHABISM. The West is too silent about this.

I'm a Christian. Your assumption is wrong.

Its because i dont drink the WESTERN KOOL AID makes me?

    Muslim?
    Anti-Western?
    Anti-Semite?

Shall we talk back to the topic now? or any more personal questions?

^Kind of obsessed with Saudi Arabia aren't you? Guess what?..... The USA and other oil dependent economies aren't too enamored with Saudi Arabia either hence their desire to reduce this dependency.

You still aren't condemning the actions of extremists, so what is it then.... tacit approval?

LMAO? Well, it would be easy for me to mock you... too easy really, but that's disrespectful and immature.

It seems you are willing to overlook the unforgivable in favor of repeating a point you have made over and over again. We get it... you consider The West to be the Great Satan, with hidden agendas, espousing humanitarianism while enslaving the poor blah blah blah... well maybe, just maybe things aren't so black and white and perhaps saving people from a terrible fate is the motivating factor from time to time. Worth considering don't you think?

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

Finally you admit it that if the Western puppets committed these barbaric act the West will just turn a blind eye about it.

That's what Im taking about WESTERN HYPOCRISY that you failed to understand.

It seems you're very emotional, lets give it a rest and talk to the topic instead of personal level.

During last election in 2012 Hollande promised to bring troops back from Afghanistan.
It seems this socialist President lost credibility by sending the troops back to its former colony.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius has said that France's involvement in the campaign against Islamist rebels in Mali will last "a matter of weeks"
Are you sure about that Minister Fabius? How come France asked for help from coalition stooges namely US, UK & even Canada. Even asking the Gulf Monarch to finance the war. Because it cant fight the Opposition alone. I believe this will be France's Afghanistan in the making.

France didn't ask for UK assistance, it was volunteered. France has an extremely underrated military, many people are unaware of their capabilities. They don't have the combat experience of British and American forces, but that is changing and they will get the respect they deserve.

What is stooge-like about countries which have previously committed themselves to halting Islamic extremists? They are simply putting their money where their mouth is.

Intervention is not a bad thing. It was intervention that stopped the imperial Japanese army, intervention that saved Europe from the Nazis and this rapid intervention spearheaded by France will crush the Islamists and stop a tinderbox from turning into a wildfire.

This will not be another Vietnam, Afghanistan or whatever because of decisive action. Lessons have been learned, time is of the essence and half-measures potentially lethal. Troops on the ground so quickly illustrates France's determination to defeat the enemy.

Says who? Taliban / Al Qaeda controlled half or could be more in Afghanistan. Thats why the West wants an exit strategy.

Islamist Al Qaeda affiliated groups are well alive in Libya & Syria thanks to NATO for the support. Those radicals channeled funds and arms to Al Qaeda brothers in Somalia & Mali which is now working against the interest of the West.

If you work against them they will call you Terrorist if you work for them they will call you Freedom fighter.
