I already have one in mind bai. These chinese investors don't want competition. See these kaintsikan, can buy fake papers so they can convert their real names into a Filipino name and there you go they can own land. Pity for the other nationalities who cannot buy fake papers because of their skin and the country they came from.

i think you have two separate issues here:

1. Mainland Chinese or any foreign nationals investing is the Philippines is generally good for us. It prevents monopoly and give the consumers more products to chose at reasonable price.

2. Secondly, that is why there is a need to revised the existing laws so that that these Mainland Chinese and offshore Chinese businessman who don't want competition will be put to an end (as what you have said above) . I know this will be tough because most of this businessmen are supporting politicians and in return Politicians are protecting their interest.

me personally, I'm ok with foreigners with filipina wife's owning a land. I am also ok with foreigners owning a business solely but not owning a land without a filipino/filipina counterpart. Lumad nga mga Cebuano mostly are out of their lands because of the brightness of dollars. But to give them a chance that could generate positive results to the Filipinos then why not give them.

What's the use of your land if you have no $$$ to develop it? Worst if you have no $$$ to support your needs. Atleast if foreigners can own land, we can sell easily our property at much higher price and we can use the money to open our own business etc etc etc. Atleast we have more option when it comes to applying for a job. Dili lang mga kaintsikan ang ato amo but all nationality hehe.
