On the July 4th holiday, an attack on the vulnerable United States infrastructure begins to shut down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every modern angle--but he never figured on an old-analog fly, John McClane, in the digital ointment. It's the beginning of the holiday, but New York City Detective McClane isn't celebrating. He's had yet another argument with his college-age daughter Lucy, and received a crushingly routine assignment to bring in a young hacker, Matt Farrell, for questioning by the FBI. But for McClane, the ordinary has a habit of exploding into the extraordinary--abruptly hurtling him into the wrong place at the wrong time. With Farrell's help, McClane slowly begins to understand the increasing chaos surrounding him. An attack is underway on the vulnerable United States infrastructure, shutting down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the scheme, Thomas Gabriel, stays several moves ahead of McClane as he implements his incredible plans, known to uber-geeks like Farrell as a "fire sale" (as in, everything must go!).

A very plausible scenario indeed, one that is sure to catch attention to those in charge. Willis' McClane character is still unbelievably very hard to kill as always. But aside from those, it still is an action-packed movie like it's predecessors and would constantly keep moviegoers on the edge of their seats. I think it will dislodge Evan Almighty from the no. 1 spot in the box-office this weekend.

Well one thing I know though, you must be somebody who have high permissions to be flying on DC airspace. But if you notice, prior to shutting down traffic they already had a chopper flying with guys with guns. Now, that is something.

just watched the movie. how come every after scene john mcclane always gets less messier than the usual..

plus, with cyril raffaelli in the cast, i was expecting more parkour and stunts.. he had more scenes holding a sniper rifle

i know adrenaline can make you forget however pain you feel in your body... it let's you forget hunger. i'm sure if it was a real person right after everything he should be in bed for WEEKS!

thats actually the reason why they made die hard 4 years after die hard 3. john mcclane is in bed for years..hehehe
