When i was still a christian, i believe that cults are founded in persona especially that person is somewhat almost equal in authority and influence aside from the usual deities.. Example:

Roman Catholicism- The Papacy
Islam- Muhammad
Lutheranism- Martin Luther
Mormonism- Joseph Smith
Seventh Day Adventist- Ellen G. White
Jehovah's Witness- Charles Taze Russell
Iglesia Ni Cristo- Felix Y. Manalo
Nation of Islam- Wallace Fard Muhammad
Church of Scientology- L. Ron Hubbard ( or is it Tom Cruise? hehe)
Juche- Kim Il Sung
Unification Church- Rev. Yong Myung Moon
Church of Satan- Anton Szandor LaVey
Falun Gong- Li Hongzhi
Kngdom of Jesus Christ..- Apollo Quiboloy
Ang Dating Daan- Eli Soriano
....and many more

I only mentioned the prominent groups that have some form of influence in our filipino society.

So you mean those that doesn't agree with you are cult?
Lets not judge doctrines and religion based on personal opinion but base it in the Bible.
Base it If this religion contradicts the Bible or if it is in harmony.

You will find that almost all religions are cult if you base your assesment from the Bible.

For starters better identifiy false religion from the true religion.
Cults takes more extreme fanatical practices so its easier to identify, Like claiming to be God or Jesus.
while false churches are more sublte and not so easy to identify.
