I bought one adult dog here in istorya. The previous owner died and the relatives can no longer take care of the canine. Every time magtan-aw ko sa dog, malooy ko sa thought nga gibaligya siya ( mas valid gani ang reason kay namatay ang amo, how much more sa mga taphaw lang nga reasons).
All of my dogs from pedigreed to aspin, are equally treated like family members. Nitogon ko sa akong mama daan, nga kung mamatay gani ko, ayaw gyud ni ibaligya o ihatag ang mga iro.
@jancemsy: Sakto gyud ka. Not all "reputable breeders" are dog lovers. Daghan mga "reputable breeders" nga gipangcage lang ilang mga dogs. If wala nay gamit ilang mga dogs ila ra pod ibaligya.

Pero if magbase ta sa perspective ug logic sa mga dog owners nga gitreat ilang mga dogs nga murag anak, maka ask gyud ka : What kind of parent that sells their children? Imo diay ibaligya imong anak kay mag children(kennel) reduction ka? Pero again, di ta kaboot. lahi lahi man ta ug perspective.
It all boils down nga ang pag-own og dog kay usa ka lifetime commitment. If di ka kahatag ana, then you better not own one.

makasabot ko nga dili jud mo kasabot sa logic ana. you look at the biggest of the big time breeders here and abroad. they rehome every now and then dogs that they think will be better off with someone else. bottomline, they have programs that needs to be followed and by rehoming some dogs in their kennel, mas ila nahatagan ug saktong pagpangga ang concerned dog ug ang uban pa nilang dogs. again, i dont expect you guys, casual owners, to understand this. but to some that are into breeding programs (not breeding to sell but breeding for improvement), this is a common occurrence.

besides, the way i understand you here, okay ninyo nga i-rehome as long as ipanghatag ra... hmmm flimsy if you ask me.

ROFL swertiha gud sa makadawat ug high quality (adult) dog from a big time breeder/exhibitor if its gonna be for FREE. ug if ibaligya, dautan na ang concerned, pero if ihatag, okay ra. haha klarex man ang line of argument dah.

Murag ing ana jud unta dapat bro kun gusto ka nga mapangitaan jud ug maayo nga home ang imong iro, kana'kun love nimo imong iro. Pero kun negosyo lang imo, aw imo sad na.

Mao ni mga dogs for adoption diri sa shanghai bro. Pero dili basta2x ang pag-adopt kay screen jud pag ayo, dili lang basta naay kwarta pwd na ka makaadopt.

I think this thread talks about those selling their adult dogs just for the sake of earning money and/or not having time to care for them. I don't think we're talking about breeders. People are being so defensive.

dog lovers can always adopt ASPINs if they want to adopt gyud. karon daghan man kahang dog lovers diri sa ato, ngano man daghan pa gihapon ug aspins sa kalye ron? kana na lang unta hutdon ug pag adopt sa mga so-called doglovers.

and how can you second guess the reason why these people are rehoming their adult dogs? as i said, ive known top breeders constantly rehoming their adult dogs esp. if they ascertain that these dogs are better off with another owner. again, most of the times, it has something to do with their breeding programs.
