Adto mi karon Oct 20-ish. Plane Cebu-Legaspi. Wala pa jud mi idea how and where to go once we get there. I wish naa makatubag sa ako questions especially those who have gone there. It's a budget trip. Hopefully nice pud ang weather when we get there.

1. How to get to Caramoan from Legaspi and how long ang travel per transfer?

2. We have booked ourselves at West Peninsula, is this the best place to stay or naay cheaper and nearer the beach place to stay?

3. We dont have tents. Is there still a way for us to still camp in to one of the Islands? Naay island nga duna cottages? How much pud?

4. Must visit places?

5. Additional tips?

Caramoan Guide from legaspi pud ko ato. Walay cottage sa island and im not sure if naa ma abangan nga tent didto.

was in Caramoan 2 years ago. at that time dili pa kaayo siya ka sikat as now. november to when we went there, swerte mi because we had good weather. days before and after we were there kay nag bagyo jud. ang south luzon man gud bagyohonon kaayo.

among trip kay cebu-manila. we then took the lazy boy bus to naga. 8 hrs nga trip. but the best bus ride jud to nako. ma recline fully ang seats. very comfortable kaayo. wala na gani mi kabantay na 8 hrs diay kay nindot kaayo among sleep. when we arrived at naga, nag vhire mi towards sa port kung asa ka musakay ug boat for caramoan. mga 1 hr sad to na trip.

we stayed at Residencia de Salvacion. THE BEST! as in i highly highly recommend them. you get the entire house exclusive sa inyo. the house has 4 rooms. nice kaayo ang house. and they will do all the cooking for you, ila na ang transpo arrangements, schedules etc. mura jud mi to mga donya kay igka mata namo naa na food and coffee. and igka island hopping namo, since sa island man mi tig lunch, naa nay nagdala and prepare sa food for us. tawagon nalang mi. and lami kaayo ila food, big shrimps, crabs, meats. and the best ila staff kay mura jud family ra. grabe kaayo mo take care.

after caramoan, we made a sidetrip to CWC. whole day mi didto. nice sad na experience ang CWC.

make sure to visit Culapnit cave. worth it kaayo. murag 1 hour to na inside mi sa cave.

when we went there. open pa tanan islands kay walay nag shoot nga Survivor. bag-o ra nahuman ug shoot ato ang Survivor Israel man siguro to. so naa pa to mga bilin2 na mga props na gigamit sa Survivor. naka picture2 pa mi with the props. if ma timingan mo na naay ga shooting, naa jud naay islands na ma close. sayang kaayo dili mo ka visit.

Caramoan islands kay the best! i hope dili lang siya ma commercialized like boracay na hugaw na.

if nag Cebu Pac ka, most likely noon imo sched sa cebu-legazpi flight. Once you arrive sa airport, you can hire a van going directly to Sabang Pier where mosakay ka ug pumpboat going to Caramoan. I think 2pm ang last trip sa boat so with your flight sched, it would be too late to go to Caramoan. Naa ray resort right beside sa Pier where you can spend the night at. I forgot the name of the resort, tho. Mga 3hrs ang travel Legazpi-Sabang. Sabang - Caramoan by boat is about 2hrs.

We stayed at Villa Juliana, tag P2,100/head x 10heads. Gi research rapud ni nako sa web site, naa cla mutliply site.
For P2100 3days/2nights, apil na ang room, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and island hopping tour.
-Rooms are clean. No hot shower, tho. unless if mo matter ang hot shower ninyo. Ang one room good for 5, nya kay 10 man mi tanan, dapat 2 rooms ra mi BUT ila ghatag kay 3 rooms.
-Food kay BIG au ang serving. We used to joke around bec ilang manok kay dagko kaayo ug parts, we called it MAAANNOOOKKK.
-Island hopping tour kay tour ra mo sa boat man. Its best if naa mo list sa islands na inyo adto.an aron ma sulit ang tour. Villa Juliana does not own the boat, ila ra pud ni contact for the package.
near ang Villa Juliana sa RedChurch sa Caramoan, far from the beach but there is not really much to see sa beach mismo sa Caramoan unless mo iland hop na mo.

I guess naa islands where you can camp at other than Gotta Village. You need to ask your tour package/travelagency/resort for this. For sure its going to cost you more. ($.$)

4. Must visit places?
I'd say tanan islands na possible ma visit. It is best to explore the island jud. Some of my friends just went swimming that they missed to see the beautiful spots sa island. But then maybe its because I was with friends who came to have a vacation, not adventure. hehe..

5. Additional tips?

When we arrived at Legazpi, since late naman sa boat for Caramoan, nag Mayon Volcano sight seeing nalang mi. Then ni adto mi ug Naga (2hrs van ride), hapit sa watersports complex kay nag pa pic then we spend the night at Naga before going to Sabang. We stayed at Sunny View Hotel which I DONT recommend to anyone kay bati kaayo tanan (long story).
Near ra ang Sunny View sa SM City Naga and terminal going to Sabang. Nag pakyaw mi Jeep from Naga to Sabang (P1,800). Ni gikan mi around 5.30AM then abot mi sa Sabang mga 7AM which was the first boat trip going to Caramoan.

This was our JUNE 2012 trip. Naa pa ang Survivor USA that time, so we did not really get to visit the famous Matukad Island.

Overall expense for this trip was around P5,000.

I hope you get to enjoy Caramoan like I did.

Thank you @softgreen27, very useful. Mga 9am amo flight sched and probably mga past noon na jud mi abot sa Sabang if apason jud namo. We'll have to talk it over pa for another rendezvous should we not opt to go directly to Caramoan on the first day.
