I am quite disappointed of some short-sighted views I have read from here. I can say that Miriam was and is still a victim of political prosecution! This has created a cloud of doubt among the minds of Philippine populace about her credibility and integrity. But the way I see it, Miriam has been consistent with her political stand or color. Whomever the president will be, that president will and must uphold the same Constitution. Miriam sides not with personalities, but with a democratic pillar- the Constitution.

I wouldn't be surprised if one from us here becomes the president of the country and Miriam will side to this person during an impeachment trial, unless that president is an obvious crook.

Dr. Miriam Santiago felt the danger of Filipinos violating the Constitution. It can be miscontrued that she's defending Gloria Arroyo, but again she's not with personalities.

Yes it's true she has lucid intervals. But if you review our history, the best leaders in the world were tagged as lunatic once in their lives. If Miriam becomes president, then she will be part of the roster of "lunatic" leaders. As a Filipino, if that's the only liability of Miriam, let it be. She has more to offer for the country aside from lunacy.

She has only one life on this earth...but has so much to offer if given the chance. That is if WE grab the chance....It's our loss if we wouldn't, not hers!

Well I can say that some people has their opinions already deeply rooted to their hypothalamus. If they are prejudice of the person, whatever argument I use here, however logical, cannot change one's perception of the other person...tsk tsk tsk...But that is what opinion is all about...it is personal. And no one is compulsed to take it.

But some opinions can be considered great ones, IF and only IF they were carefully studied.
