Wala na apil lagi katong kang Kevin Carter.
In March 1993, while on a trip to Sudan, Carter was preparing to photograph a starving toddler trying to reach a feeding center when a vulture landed nearby. Carter reported to taking the picture, because it was his "job title", and leaving. He came under criticism for failing to help the girl.

Dead bodies of U.S. soldiers dragged in the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia during the Battle of Mogadishu October 1993 (events in Black Hawk Down)
WARNING
Spoiler!
Although the operation was successful these images forced American public opinion to change their views on further involvement in Somalia. Not long the Americans pulled out.

^weren't those 3 photos just from one soldier? SSG William David Cleveland?
The selfless CAG Snipers (MSG Gordon and SFC Shughart) who also perished in Mogadishu suffered the same fate.
These pictures just make me so angry.
Madam Nhu called it a "monk barbeque". I'm surprised wala apil ang katong ARVN general executing a Vietcong prisoner during Tet. In fact, wala kaayo tong mga Vietnam War era pictures, many photographers won Pulitzers in Vietnam.

both these pictures were significant in changing the American public's opinion about the war in Vietnam.
EDIT: the "girl" has been identified to be Phan Thi Kim Phuc, and is currently living in Canada with her family.

I don't know. My uncle used to have these monthly military magazines he receives along with his PopSci in the 90's. One issue in particular featured a lot of pictures of those dead soldiers. It was disturbing for a 9 year old who only knows the glorious side of war to see. I can't imagine what my 'Joe' uncle must have felt.
