the technology to create what a "gundam" or what a "mobile suit" is, it's just not there yet. Otaku culture naman guro ning mga politicians sa Japan oi.

Mechs/mechas or exosuits--they're feasible to make with the current level of human technology, but "Gundams" would take another significant amount of time, and research to be considered as feasible.

725M$ thats cheap if its really a mobile suit compared that to 1B$ stealth bomber by the US. plus thats what US are doing... investing on weapons 100% US made to stimulate the economy and provide jobs and opportunity. With japanese innovation i think they can accomplish it, but i doubt it can fly like what we see in the anime i think kadto macros type jet is much plausible

Most of us might not be interested in Japanese politics, but remember that Japan is in bad shape now, and even in their struggling budget and crisis, they're still pushing donations to our economy and machineries as well.
If bad things happen to Japan, we are affected.
