Today's film industry would have been very, very different without Dolphy. He is not named Comedy King for no reason, unlike Kris nga supposed to be "Queen of all media".

Dophy being a national artist is ok para nako. Acting is also a form of art. Di lang ko uyon nga mogadyo pa ang govt sa iang medical bills, wa man sad sya nanginahanglan ana. He has lived a life far from poverty because of his career in showbiz which paid him more than enough na guro. Or maybe donate nalgn nang financial award to charitable institutions or dswd or psco.

He deserves the national artist award, no doubt about it. But kung pwede limited nalang ang financial aspect.
