safety is not a place... but a state of mind. bisan asa pa ka nga lugar mo adto kung mag tinanga ka, disgrasya jud ka. we have to raise the level of our awareness wherever we go. get training and buy a licensed gun. be prepared to defend yourself. we cannot always blame the police because they are greatly outnumbered and poorly equipped.

avoid high risk places. avoid errands that entail you to go out late at night. if unavoidable, be prepared as well. be aware and conscious of your surroundings even at mid-day.

I used to work for a well-known and probably the only call center in MEPZ 2 some time ago. that time, daghan kaayo ako officemate nga na tulis. I wondered why pirmi man sila? I observed that most people make themselves a target for such crimes because they are careless, lazy, or just sometimes plain stupid. only 1 percent i would consider to be very unlucky to be victims. why? imagine lang, 4am, nag commute ka, and you pull out your 10k or more worth na gadget or phone just to show off or just to text? around you, most people are sleepy even barely awake. does not that make you the perfect target? unless, you have a .45 in your bag and ready to shoot it, you definitely are a target. having a gun does not even assure you because no matter how much training you get, when the need arises, there are still factors to consider on how effectively you can use it.


I would say, let us all be trained and vigilant. barato ra ang licensed weapons karon. dapat dili ta mahadlok sa mga tulisan ug mga animal na criminal. let us make Lapu2x City safe. it is the criminals who should move away and not us because we cannot run forever.
