Describes Cebu as deviant from national politics and collective negative mindset. Which means, Cebu don't conform to the rest of the country's norms when it comes to politics and the negative mindset of almost everyone in the country. We think differently.

    Eternally optimistic... speaks for itself.
Relentlessly entrepreneurial... steady and persistent when it comes to business.

    Very good complement for Cebu.

    All a miscomprehension guys.

I agree with this assessment (that Cebu and its citizens are independent minded, entrepreneurial individuals) as well as the suggestion (from another post) that the article, in particular, the "offending" lines or words could have been written with more finesse. I am not an English major, but I think this could have been revised to project a slightly more positive tone to flow well with the rest of the article.

Well the truth is, when you go to another country people in there think cebu is the country and phil. is a city... that was then... Now what they say is why is it that we are not a country...

not just that, his tantrums very well speak of himself too. he's a little mixed-up of where he stands. was he the one who suggested to prohibit posting in istorya in languages other than cebuano? then now, he called people with cebuano-centric opinions as 'idiots'.
