aside from money matters, these are also important for the relationship to last:

    >>quality time for each other (need i say more?)
    >>communication (without communication, there will be misunderstandings)
    >>genuine respect for each other (don't take each other for granted)
    >>excitement, surprises, fun moments(if relationship is stagnant, the couple feels bored or fall out of love)
    >>expressive of feelings (show your love always so your partner feels appreciated)
    >>compatibility (some people love each other but just can't compromise... too bad)
    >>acceptance (i mean the bad stuff about your partner, everything...)
    >>approval of family and friends (you need support...)

    i'll think of more pa.

    add pako one:

trust and confidence, freedom (jealousy, paranoia can ruin a good relationship jud and no one wants a clingy, possessive or low-esteem partner)

    i'll think sah. hihi

a relationship takes a lot of effort rather than just focusing on love. that's why if you enter one, think well if you can handle it. lahi ra jud ang fling ug relationship. and most specially, love and infatuation or even lust are so different jud.

i used to believe so.. but when i had my heart broken a couple of times, i realized love is juz one of the many things that makes a relationship work.. commitment is one.. then there's honesty, trust, contentment.. i could go w/ a list.. the point is, love isn't the only thing that should be present in a relationship.. although it plays a great role in keeping the flame alive, it doesnt necessarily mean that everything else will fall into place.. i believe that keeping the flame in a relationship takes a lot of hard work.. but if both parties feel the same way as in equal amount of love for each other, then everything else will be easy to deal w/..
