Well, just based on what vern said before, clone accounts in general are harmless and thus most of them never receive any infractions or ban. Nothing in the rules state that clone accounts are banned on first sight. But that doesn't mean people should create clone accounts and abuse it. Bottom line is that, you can create clone accounts but do so at your own risk. As long as clone accounts follow the rules, I think they should be fine.

The only reason I could think of why people create clones here is either for the buy and sell section (which is the more common one IMO), and to have another identity different from who one really is but is a manifestation of what one wants to be. Worse, it could be a case of dual or multiple personality disorder. At any rate, I do not subscribe to such a scheme as I feel it is enough that I have control on who gets to know who I really am through my privacy settings.

Here's a Hypothetical thought and question ...

If one has an account with Istorya , then why make another account? To have one person having 2 points?
To not being known you stand for something else other than what people know you for? People who are not scared to share their views are happy with just one user account. 2 cents
