If you want a long term timely remittance, and you are willing to wait and go through the application processes yes you can just apply for bank remittance programs.

However, if you want on-the-spot remittance, you can try LBC. My sister use LBC to send money. She sends and receives money on time. This is the best, for me, so far.

then I have Allied bank,BDO,PNB and Metrobank account which I open here abroad.
Pwede mana maski unsa nga banko di man kah kinahanglan mopauli to open an account for your benefeciaries in the Philippines.
Most prominent banks like BDO,Allied bank have their overseas representative designated abroad to assist their clients.
If bank to bank transfer standard rates man ang charges which is 150 pesos per transaction.
Go to your nearest remittance center available in your host country and ask them if they have MLPadala.
This is the fastest,cheapest and most convenient way of sending money on an urgent basis.
All you need is send the ref.or transaction code and send it to your beneficiary thru e-mail or SMS whatever is convenient for you.Your benefeciary/receiver can collect your padala from any M.Lhulier brnach nationwide. The good thing is some branches are open 24/7.Like last month when I was in Cebu, somewhere in Fuente Osmena circle I collected the money which I sent to myself before flying at around 11:30 sa gabii.unlike Western Union they don't have cut-offs.
I am one of the regular patrons of this service. The exchange rate in peso and the bank charges is similar to wire transfer unlike Western Union which is too expensive plus the exchange rate is less compare to banks.
Cebuana Lhulier also have the same facility.
I've been e-mailing Metrobank helpdesk, they are very accomodation, fast action and reliable in terms of customer service.

kon naay satellite office ang metrobank or pnb diha sa country nimo pag open ug account unya mag open sad ang imo beneficiary sa pinas, nya enroll both accounts sa internet banking, so all deposits will go to your account ikaw na mag control sa pag transfer ug funds sa imong beneficiary via internet.

kon wa pnb or metrobank diha mas cheaper ang moneygram than WU, most expensive ang door to door

any advice unsa ang maau if magpadala ug money sa pinas.. asa ka barato sa bank or sa mga money transfer agent?

if which unsa sad na bank or money transfer agent ang cheap ug rate?
